Donghyuck loves living next to the sea. Having grown up near one it just became a regular for him to spend a lot of time there. It was obvious that he did as his skin was beautifully tanned. Swimming in the emerald water whenever he had free time was something he had come to enjoy most during his days.
Yet, today he was going to the pool instead. Normally, he avoids the pool at all cost; why go there when the beach is literally a 10 minute walk away? Sadly, one of his good friends wanted to go to the pool today, and he just loves him too dearly to turn him down.
He decided that regardless of disliking the pool, he would enjoy himself and create a good environment for everyone around him. Plus, it was the weekend so the beach nearby tended to be very packed while this specific pool was quite empty. Well this pool in general seemed to often be empty, but that made it more comfortable.
When the beach was busy, it was fine in his opinion. It was open and easy to spread out. On the other hand, the pool was in a closed area so too many people could make it feel hard to breathe. Another reason he wasn't too fond of most pools. Although he was a people person, everyone has their own limits on how many is too many.
When they walked into the pool area, Donghyuck smiled at the lack of people. If he had to go to the pool, he would always choose this one. It never felt like a public pool, it felt private. As he looked around, he saw about 10 people in the large pool, surrounded by multiple lifeguards. Only a couple of people sat outside of the pool, eating snacks happily and talking.
"Renjun, Donghyuck," the sound of someone's voice causes him to leave his thoughts and turn his head quickly. He saw a smiling male with dark brown hair making his way towards the two of them, a bag on his shoulder full of snacks. Although most pools didn't allow people to bring snacks from home, this one didn't care.
"Jaemin?" Donghyuck furrows his eyebrows as he looks at the man approaching them. He was beyond confused why he of all people was here. "You hate water. You never go to the pool. Why are you here?"
"You didn't tell him Renjun," Jaemin walks past his friends while searching for a nice place in the shade for them to sit. Renjun just follows the younger, shaking his head 'no' even if the other cannot see it. After looking for a while, he finds a good spot and lays out a blanket and sets the bag on top.
"Jaemin this isn't a picnic," Renjun looks at his friend who is just staring at him with a wide smile, he clearly didn't care.
"Tell me what," Donghyuck joined Jaemin on the blanket to look at Renjun. He didn't like the pool, but Jaemin hated it more. There had to be a good reason for them to be there and he wanted to know. "How did you manage to get Jaemin to come to the pool?"
