Evanlyn bent down and picked up the parcel package. She could feel it thick with many papers on the inside. Too afraid to open it, she set her parcel back down on the bed. Her clothes were covered in paint so she changed into skinny jeans with an oversized t-shirt that had been her brothers. She slipped on some old toms and threw her hair in a messy bun. After going through the hotel guide she decided to go down to the arcade/snack bar.
The room was almost empty when she got there. There were a few people mainly girls sitting and talking and a few people playing games. Evanlyn was about to get a snack when she spotted Samantha sitting across the room with Emily. She walked over to say hello, but as soon as they spotted her their conversation came to an abrupt stop.
"Why'd you stop talking, I'm not gonna spill the beans on any dark secret or gossip" Evanlyn said
"We, were just discussing the day's events," Emily replied
"Oh, so the testing and, interviews, of course or the arena but we were all there for that, by the way Sam you never answered my question, how did everyone get out that fast?" Evanlyn asked
"You are so gullible, they didn't get out that fast. In case you didn't notice that was a competition and you were the first one out. After you jumped down onto our platform I distracted you, and Emily swung up from the bottom platform. Head shots are worth extra points, and you were like a sitting duck, such an easy target." Samantha replied smugly.
"Well, aren't you two just a bundle of joy," Evanlyn replied
Suddenly Grace walked up behind them, and motioned for Evanlyn to come with her. Evanlyn said goodbye and exited the room with Grace.
"What was that all about?" Grace asked
"Just some parallel drama, you know how it is." Evanlyn replied
The girls went to the lobby and grabbed a muffin and hot chocolate before heading back up to the room. Grace walked in and just like her friend was surprised by the package on the ground. She looked up and spotted Evanlyn's package.
"You haven't opened yours yet" Grace asked.
"No, I figured I'd wait" Evanlyn replied
"Okay, then lets open them" Grace said eagerly
Both girls sat down on the bed and started to open their packages. Grace's was significantly thinner than Evanlyn's. When Evanlyn opened hers many loose pieces of papers fell out onto the bed. Some of them appeared to be in good condition, on nice white, and flat paper. Other pieces looked old and crumpled. There were also pictures, some were of a young preteen or teen. Others were baby pictures, and even some toddler and elementary pictures.
Evanlyn finally found the official documents that had been hidden among all the notes and pictures. She was amazed at what she saw. The document reads as below as well as some of the notes.

You will start 2 days after your arrival at the palace. You shall report to the emergency room, and meet Dr. Landers. Henry's parents have put together some messages and pictures from their families past to share with you. You are free to head home, you will be picked up at 6:00 from your home, taken to the black transport station and head straight to the palace from there. Amanda Elinca will be your guide in the palace, she will train you to reach your potential. We look forward to seeing you at the palace.

There were many notes but, she found 5 clipped together that were each written by the Jenswes family. Grace had finished reading hers a while ago, and was now watching her friend in anticipation. Evanlyn stole a glance up at her before looking back down at the notes. The first was from the Queen. It had been written very recently because the ink was almost still wet.
Dear, Evanlyn,
I am ecstatic to finally have a son who has been matched. From what I have read of you in these past few minutes, you are suited for the palace. You seem like a very beautiful well-rounded young lady, and I look forward to meeting you in 2 weeks' time. I, my son and my family are very excited to meet you. "Just some sweet notes from the family, they seem nice, from what I have gathered. Actually it's kind of weird. I've never heard of anyone writing notes." Evanlyn answered

From what I hear, you seem like a good match for my son. However there were a few things that did concern me. You are a weak fighter, my son can be very aggressive when he gets mad, upset, or frustrated. I won't deny it he gets it from me. You are also a very big art fan. I will let you know there is plenty of art in the palace, but my son has no idea what any art means, how it is made. I am very concerned about that there are so many differences in you two that could cause the relationship to fail. I am sorry to be the negative Nancy but that is how it is.

The last note worried her. If all of that was true how would her future be affected? She had never really had to deal with anyone who was really aggressive. Henry's mother didn't seem worried, she actually thought it would be a good thing. Her mother and father had been fine. Maybe this was normal for everyone, she thought.
Amanda walked in the room very pleased with both girls. "Alright girls time to head home." She said. Both girls packed what little they had brought with them, as well as the new clothes they had received and they headed back home, to the 10th dimension.
