Moondrop sat near the edge of a building, he still had a cuple of hours left before he had to go back to the pyramid for offerings. Summer never really affected him, it just made him lazy. It took a great amount of heat to make him weak.

He wasn't wearing his traditional clothing, he was out in the city so he wore normal clothing. Ofcourse he had to change his hat for a beanie. It was a dark navy blue, with a gold rim.

He tried blending in with the people, which he did an amazing job at doing. He went unnoticed every time he went out.

He summoned his crow, the brid flew around him before attaching itself to his back. With magic, the crows body disappeared and its wings grew enormously.

Moondrop stretched his wings, he stood up and leaned his body foward. With no truble, he allowed himself to drop. He extended his wings which caught the air and flew him back. With ease he flew peacefully all the way down into the dark alley.

His wings then transformed into it's regular small size and the crow reappeared by his side. He had the ability to make the crow's wings his, he could control them and use them. He checked his phone, he would just have to wonder around the city to pass time.

It was close to sun down, moondrop was flying throught the city's sky. He might of lost track of time and was now late. Usually people gave offerings during the nights, sometimes during the day but mainly at night. It gave him the opportunity to wander around the city at daytime and get some needed rest.

He could make the meetings during daytime, but people made a made up unspoken rule that when visiting the moon God it had to be done at night. He didn't mind it that much, it just became tedious at times.

Finally, Moondrop landed in his pyramid, he rushed inside avoiding his staff. He quickly made his way towards his room. He changed into his formal clothes. He had a cloak that was really wide and long, he could basically call it a blanket. A navy shirt with gold buttons. Black cargo pants with black boots. He might of changed his formal clothing a bit.

Last but not least, his iconic hat. As he placed the hat on, the little bell jingled.

"You're twenty minutes late. You know how mad Monty is gonna be?"

Moodrop flinched at the voice. He slowly turned around to meet his servant, Roxanne.

"Roxy, I don't care if he's mad, I'm a God, I can do whatever I want."

Roxy raised an eyebrow, her ears perked up in offense. "You may be the God of the Moon and all, but remember you chose to make yourself known. So you suffer the consequences of being chained to your throne and serving the people. Remember, you need them. And they can chose if they wanna make offerings to you." She spoke in a cold tone.

Roxy was the only one of his hounds who had the guts to speak her mind, whether it upset or didn't upset the moon God.

"Those people are the life source of your stars, so everytime your late, one goes hungry and dies"

"Yea, the misery life source I'm forced to take out of the energy and consume so it becomes pure for my stars. Besides, it takes more than time for a star to die out." He looked down, he doesn't need the energy that the offerings bring him. He can live without it. But those offering mostly represent sorrows, sadness, sometimes anger too.

Corrupted would be the word, and his stars, they are made out of pure happy energy. Which ment whenever he got an offering, he needed to consume the bad stuff or it would become a dark star, which is dangerous because they could light out a shining star. Once he'd consume the corruption, what was left of the energy was pure, perfect for his stars to light up the night.

He only came down to earth to find a new source of energy for his stars. He couldn't keep using his energy, he would've died and so would his stars.

Moondrop walked pass Roxy, he huffed in annoyance, he didn't hate his stars, he didn't hate that he would never feel the opposite of sorrow and sadness, any negative feeling. As long as his stars were safe, he would do anything to keep them shining.

But sometimes the anger would be too much. He hated it, hated hating. He tired to control the emotions he had left, but it was hard when every day he had to consume more negativity day after day.

The only answer he found to calm himself down was sleeping, a lot of sleeping. But, offerings kept him awake, so not a lot of sleeping was done.

Moondrop exited his room. He made his way towards the staircase and up his throne. It was a clear area, and the ceiling had ancient cravings of the original town.

He walked to the edge of the pyramid, he looked up to find his full bright moon. He sometimes he missed being one with be moon. It would get lonely sometimes, but it made his feel closer to his stars.

He stared at the giant crater, one particular star he missed the most out of all the ones he had. His heart began to ache at the thought of him.

He never liked the feeling of thinking about his star. It always made his heart slowly warm up, but then he'd realize he would never be able to be side by side with his star, his heart would turn cold solid again.

He looked back at the sound of his name. A mortal stood there, sheepishly tugging their shirt.

Moodrop sighed, he walked over to the person.

*Time to work *
