"Jax!" It was clear now that this voice was Max.

"Jax are you okay? You were freaking out like crazy," Max said. His eyes were filled with concern. Jax slowly nodded his head, starting to calm down. "Shit! I forgot that you were a rescue. Me banging on the door probably freaked you out huh?" Jax nodded. "I'm so sorry," Max said bringing him into a hug. "It's okay." He assured him. He wasn't sure what but there was something about his scent that made him calm and Slightly attracted to him. He found himself burrowing into the crevice of his neck and his shoulder taking in a deep breath of his scent. "You smell really good." Jax said. Max gently pushed him off and gave him a forced smile. "It's probably my cologne or it could have been one of the people I interacted with."

Jax cleared his throat as a thought came to his mind. 'Why did Max start banging On my door?'
"You were banging on my door?"
"Oh, uh yeah." Max replied shyly scratching the back of his neck. "What for?" He tried shoving the laugh down as he saw the blush creep up on Max's cheeks.
"I wanted to ask you to watch a movie with my friends and I before dinner." Jax gave him a friendly smile. "Sure thing."

Max led the way downstairs to the theater room. Jax was amazed at the sight of it. His old pack didn't have a theater room nor a big flat screen TV. Not to mention there was a whole mini snack bar filled with candy and snacks. Of course they had a popcorn machine.

Max grabbed the popcorn for them to share. "What kind of soda do you want?" He asked. Jax looked at all of the fountain drinks but none of them really peeked his interest. "I'll just have water." He responded. 'I wonder when the others are gonna show up.'

After they got their drinks and snacks they wanted they chose their seats.

Once they were seated three others showed up.

"Hi my name is Rebecca." She greeted shaking his hand and sat next to Max. "Yo, my name is Trevor." He greeted running his hand through his dark brown hair. "Nice to meet you." Jax said. He ruffled Jax's hair before taking a seat next to him. The third one Jax noticed he was a bit timid and shy. He didn't say anything instead he just chose to wave at him and then took a seat next to Trevor. "Don't mind him he doesn't really like to talk much. His name is Forest." Trever said. "They named him that because his eyes are a dark green and his hair is an ashy brown color." Trever explained. "I guess his parents thought of trees when they chose to name him." He shrugged. "Shut up, the movie is starting!" Max whisper yelled, which caused Jax to flinch but calmed down as he saw there was no threat.

The movie ended at a perfect time because it was now dinner time. Jax and everyone else sat at the dinner table. Jax bit into the steak, and the flavors melted in his mouth. He had never tasted something so good. "This is some pretty good food, Luna." He complemented her. "Sweety, you can call me Jasmine." She was so kind. She had a motherly feel to her, but that shouldn't be so shocking since she is Max's mother.
"Okay." He shyly looked down at his plate and continued to eat.

Henry cleared his throat and looked at Max. "So, your brother is on his way here and he'll get here tomorrow morning," Henry spoke as if he was dreading on what he was about to say. "I know you and your brother have bad blood but do you think you can shove it down for one day?" Max glared at his father. "Bad blood," He scoffed. "We have more than bad blood between us. I'm sorry but may I be excused?" Henry nodded.

Jax got up and followed him. "Max," Jax called out but got ignored. Max went into his room and shut his door before Jax could have caught up to him. "Max, can I come in please?" Nothing but silence. "If you don't want to talk that's fine but I'm always here if you just need someone to talk to." He was about to walk away but the door opened and Max grabbed ahold of his arm and yanked him into his room. Jax started to panic not expecting to have been grabbed so quickly.

He felt someone grab his wrist and as he tried to get out of their grip the person held him more tightly. He twisted his wrist. Eventually his wrist broke. Jax screamed in agonizing pain.

"Jax? Are you okay?" Max asked noticing that he was hyperventilating. "Jax, it's okay its just me dude. I'm not gonna hurt you. You're safe." Jax started to calm down and eventually his breathing returned to normal. "Jax did I do something to trigger you? What exactly happened at your other pack? Did they hurt you?" He asked. Jax nodded his head slowly and that made Max's blood boil. "What exactly happened? It had to have been a lot because you seemed pretty shaken up about it.

Jax told him that he was beaten and abused for the past five years and had told him that sudden movements and noises scare him. Max just listened and he seemed to understand a lot more about Jax.

Max took in a deep breath and decided it would only be fair if he told Jax a little more about himself too. "My brother and I used to be really close when we were younger but it changed when we got older." He explained. He took a breath, itching his head as he did so, as if deciding or thinking about what he was going to say. "I always liked the night time ever since I was little. My brother and I used to play and wrestle out in the field." Max looked at him slightly to see if he was still paying attention. When he saw that he was he tilted his head back down, contuing the story. "Well one night he decided he just didn't want to anymore, and after that night he never wanted to hangout with me ever again," he said sadly as he looked down and a single tear dropped down onto his shoe. He wiped his cheek and gave Jax a fake smile. Jax returned it with a doleful look.
"How about we go to sleep for right now?" Jax nodded and curled up into a ball beside Max.
