ashanti knocked on the door that illuminated sunlight from under it. a soft 'come in' came from the other side and ashanti complied.
vinnie was sitting at his desk with his guitar, strumming at it lightly.
"you should definitely play me something." ashanti spoke after they closed the door behind them.
"i could play you something." vinnie responded, "don't laugh because it's simple though."
ashanti put her hands up in defense, "i can't even play a note on a guitar. i'm in no position to judge."
he took a deep breath, figuring out where his fingers should be. after a second, he began to play the beginning of sparks.
he continued the slow rhythm while softly humming the lyrics. eventually, he closed, strumming out after the end of the chorus and ashanti sat on his bed impressed.
she shrugged, "i don't understand how you think that's simple but maybe i'm just dumb. that was incredible."
vinnie put his guitar back on the stand, smiling, "thank you very much.."
looking up at the other, he continued, "what movie are you wanting to watch?"
"i love me a good disney princess movie. princess and the frog and rapunzel will do it for me every time."
"we can watch the princess and the frog.." he responded while laughing. he handed ashanti the remote to the tv in his room, "find it on disney plus and i'll go grab some snacks from downstairs."
ashanti nodded, taking the remote from his hand, "hurry up though, or im definitely going to start this movie without you."
