Arnav didn't know how to react. Whether to be happy that Khushi has agreed to go ahead with this plan or to get worried that he once again put himself in between his wicked father and Khushi.

The last time when he was in this position, it ended up badly for everyone except his father. But this time, Arnav would rather die than let his father take the victory.

"Khushi, think this through again. As you said, this is no longer just you and me. Your family is involved"

"I know what I am doing. But if I do that, I need something in return"

"You name it"

"First, you make sure Ahaan gets the best education. He helped me to recover when I was down. I consider him my own. So I want him to have the best life"

"Done. I will have him under my wings till her is successful in his life"

"Second, I want to transfer the studio to my sister so that all the income goes to her. I have my salary from working for you so I don't want anything else"

"Done. I will make all the necessary changes to our current agreement. I am happy to even pay off your debts"

"No. That I will take care of with my sister. I do not need anything monetary for doing this"

"Last but not least, you have to let me work. No special treatments at work either"

"But if we get married, how can you work way down, can I at least offer a senior management position?"

"No, I learnt the hard way, Arnav. I want to be in one of those positions but on my own merits. Promote me only when you and all the other board members agree that I deserve it"

Arnav looked around. He didn't think it past the plan. All he thought about was getting married to Khushi and his problem goes away.

"What? Why are you silent Arnav?"

"I didn't actually plan how we going do this"

"Seriously? So you thought we will get married and assumed our lives will fast forward to after marriage?"

"Something like that"

"I can't believe it. Sometimes I wonder how did you become such a big businessman with this brain of yours"

"My brain works well when it comes to business"

"Think of this as a business"

"Before doing anything, we need to get our stories straight. Because believe me, we will be answering a lot of people Khushi"

"Are you trying to scare me off?"

"I am only giving you a demo. Because I don't want you to regret it later. You still have time to back off. Once we are married we can't plan how things are going to turn around. As you said, we may be only married for a year or forty years"

"Forty? I mean, I was just using the figure of speech. I agree to this only if we can go in our separate ways after a year"

Though Arnav felt hurt after hearing the last part, he knew he deserved that. Khushi will never agree to spend the rest of her life with a person like him. He is lucky she even considered a year. If it was up to him, he wouldn't even bother to listen to her plan.

"Arnav?"

"Sorry, I was thinking. So, if anyone asks from your family we started feeling attracted towards each other since our first meeting and last night I proposed and you agreed"
