Miss Bustier continued on with a joyful expression.

"Just this morning we received the email announcing the winner, and... I am pleased to say that our class was chosen to take part in the Gotham-Metropolis trip for two months including a two week stay at Gotham Academy with a host family, an invitation to two galas, Waynes at Gotham and Lexs at Metropolis! How our small school of under 1000 afforded this, I have no fucking clue! :D"

The class soon grew loud and buzzed with excited conversation. Marinette and her group smiled knowingly. She and her friends had worked hard to create a strong essay, virtual project and physical presentation on why her class should go and how it would be helpful to their future careers. Lila spoke up, of course lying and taking all of the credit.

"Oh, my Dami-boo must've begged for his father to let our class take the trip... He misses me so much."

She spoke in a faux-sweet voice.

Alya's interest was peaked as she now put her full attention on the topic at hand. She got out her phone, no doubt to add this to her blog.

"Wait, who's this "Dami-boo"? What's the scoop girl?"

The rest of Lila's group gathered around her and listened intently. Lila smiled and spoke up.

"My boyfriend from Gotham. He's the one and only Damian Wayne. He must've heard that our class signed up for the trip and begged his father to let us come... He really wants to see me again after years of being apart. We practically grew up in the manor together. I spent so much time with the Waynes that I basically lived with them."

Rose's eyes held a dreamy, far off look. She sighed wistfully.

"That sounds so romantic!"

Marinette spoke mostly to herself.

"Whoever Damian is, I feel sorry for him."

Alya fined, rolling her eyes. "Oh, shut the hell up Marinette!"

Miss Bustier wasn't paying attention to the conflict in the class, continuing to speak. She explained the itinerary for the trip for most of the class.

"Anyways... Report to the airport at eight-am sharp tomorrow morning. You may all go home and pack. Class dismissed."

Shortly after, the bell rung. The group quickly left the class before Lila and her friends could react or say anything else.

Marinette walked with Adrien, showing him her notebook of designs for outfits based on American superheroes and villains to distract him from the events of the class period.

Chloe spoke, gaining everyone's attention.

"We should get home and pack quickly, but... What about shadowmoth?"

Kim spoke reassuringly.

"Don't worry, we have Pegasus. Wherever he attacks next we can portal there."

The conversation was halted by the sound of a familiar ice cream truck. Alix perked up, sprinting toward where the jingle was coming from.

"Andre's!"
