Basketball Practice

“Can you please come to my practice,” Chenle is holding onto his rather tall boyfriend’s arm who is trying to leave their shared dorm room to get to his first class. “Just one. I want you to see me play before the first game.”

“Chenle,” he turns to the smaller yet older boy, holding his arms so that he will calm down a little. “We talked about this. If I have the time I will go, but I do have a job.”

“So teaching ten year olds how to dance is more important than your boyfriend?” Chenle looks at his boyfriend with playful disgust. He understood that the male was busy, and he respected that. Still, there was nothing more fun than making the younger panic before class. “Jisung seriously?”

“You are so cute,” Jisung just smiles fondly at the older, giving him a short kiss on the nose. He clearly wasn't even the least bit panicked. “I have to go now.”

“Wow,” Chenle rolls his eyes while crossing his arms over his chest. “You are just going to leave without telling me you love me?”

“I love you sweetie,” Jisung gives him a quick peck on the lips before walking out of the dorm, giving Chenle no time to respond as he stands there with a small pout. He wanted to say it back. He wanted the kiss to be longer.

Maybe he was feeling sulky today. He had woken up later than he planned so he didn’t get to spend much time with his boyfriend. Some days you just wake up clingy, and he had. That being said, not getting much time to see his boyfriend this morning made him get a little sad. He was aware, and so was Jisung.

It was easy to tell that Chenle had woken up feeling more clingy than usual, from the way he snuggled up to Jisung when he was turning off his morning alarm and the whine he let out as he got out of bed. If it was Jisung’s choice he would choose to stay in bed with his cute and small boyfriend all day, but he had classes that he needed to pass. 

Another thing, Chenle didn’t always need a goodbye kiss or an ‘I love you’ before he went to classes. They would see each other soon enough. Although, he did often do it on days when they would both be busy as they may not see each other until later in the night. Either way, it was never something they made a huge deal about. They knew how much they cared about each other. 

Jisung felt bad, the last time Chenle had a clingy day he had skipped classes and just stayed with him all day, but it had been a Friday and nothing really important was happening. Today he had an exam. It wasn’t like these days happened often, so normally Jisung tried to make them all about his boyfriend until he felt so full of love he was tired of the younger.
