Donghyuck is smart, beyond smart. He easily excels in every single subject and on top of that, he is street smart. Basically he is good at everything; school and talking to people. He makes friends extremely easily, but there is one thing that he is bad at.
When he began his sophomore year in university and entered his music appreciation class as an elective, he had one goal: befriend as many people in the class as possible. Why? Why not? Well, maybe he had a bet with one of his close friends on who could get more friends in one semester, and he was not going to lose.
He walked into his class on Tuesday at 2pm ready to conquer the world. He was ready to have every person in that room greeting him when they saw him around campus. What he wasn’t expecting, however, was an overly good looking music major sitting at the front of the class alone. Obviously he sat beside him and introduced himself. His first friend, acquired.
It was easy for him to make more friends as well, he could easily talk in class, and it naturally made the people around him want to join in conversion. The competition was already looking to be strongly in his favor by week three; many people already knowing his name and greeting him before class started.
So what is the one thing he is bad at?
During Donghyuck’s first conversation with the good looking male, he now knows as Mark, he learned that he enjoyed watermelon, music, and he treasures his family and friends above all. They had many conversations after that, each one better than the one before and overtime, Donghyuck began to feel excitement at the thought of talking to the male.
For the past month, Donghyuck has been buying Mark watermelon slushies daily; on Tuesdays and Thursdays he gives him the drink in class and on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays he gives him the drink in the morning at his dorm. He started doing this in hopes of Mark accepting the feelings that he has developed.
The problem? He has never said that he has feelings for Mark out loud. He is bad at that. Expressing feelings.
It is day 32 of him buying Mark his daily slushes. He is currently on his way to class, the watermelon slush in his hand as he basically skips into the fine arts building. Seeing Mark was the highlight of his day, especially when he would smile at the drink he was given.
In his other hand was an iced americano, he couldn’t only buy Mark a drink, it would be weird in his opinion, so he gives thanks to the people that hold the doors for him as he walks. He thanked himself everyday for making so many connections around campus.
