Chapter 36

My mom will be so disappointed in me.

Selena will be pissed and broken.

Just tell her sam.

"Selena." I whispered and shook her lightly.

"Hmm?" She woke up and we sat up.

She looked at me and smiled, "yeah?" She asked.

She looks so happy right now. I can't hurt this girl.

"Um...my mom is on the couch and i was thinking we could eat out for lunch."

DAMNIT SAM! You filthy bitch.

She smiled and pecked my lips, "that sounds amazing. Let's get dressed."

I nodded and we stood up.

She started getting dressed and i threw on high waisted jeans and a crop top with a black snapback.

I walked downstairs and saw mom on the couch.

I bent down and smiled.

"Mom." I said and shook her lightly.

She groaned and scrunched her eyebrows.

"Sam...no..."

I knitted my brows.

Is she dreaming?

I sat down on the couch and listened to her.

"Let her go...please...i need her...i can't-sam." she mumbled and sounded scared and upset.

"don't make me choose between ezra and sam...that's not fair! that's not..fair..."

she's choosing between me and ezra?

"mom...wake up." i said and tried shaking her again.

she tossed and turned and said, "i choose sam...i choose sam...sam stays with me...safe."

i smiled and felt so happy.

"mom. come on. wake up."

"you said one stays safe! no no sam! NO!" she screamed and thrashed violently now.

"MOM! mom wake up!"

taylor pov

"i choose sam...i choose sam...sam stays with me...safe."

the man smirked and shot ezra, killing him and making me break down in tears. i held sam in my arms as she sobbed.

"good choice...but too bad."

he yanked sam, "MOM! HELP!" she cried.

"you said one stays safe! no no sam! NO!" the guy took a knife and sliced sam's neck open.

"MOM! mom wake up!" i heard an echo

"NO! SAM! SAM!"

"MOM! WAKE UP!"

i froze and opened my eyes.

everything was white.

"MOM!"

"sam?" i said.

"MOM COME ON WAKE UP!" sam shouted.

i opened my eyes and gasped as i jumped up.

sam's arms wrapped around me and i realized that i was sweating and my heartbeat was dangerously high.

i sighed and looked at sam.

alive. well. no sliced neck.

"oh thank god." i said and hugged her tightly.

"i'm here mom. it's just a nightmare. don't worry."

i let her words soothe me and i closed my eyes as i took in my daughter's scent and felt her warmth.

"okay. ready?"

sam jumped.

"what? yeah. i'm ready. we're going out to lunch mom come on." sam said and pulled me to my feet smiling.

i'm in my clothes from yesterday but i don't care right now.

"ok."

we got outside and walked down the neighborhood since it's nice out today.

sam pov

as we were walking paparazzi formed around us.

"sam selena why were you two fighting?"

"were you two fighting about kendall?!"

i stiffened my body.

kendall...

the sex...

the betrayal to selena...

"sam are you going to make music?"

"sam are you and kendall more than friends?"

i closed my eyes and opened them again.

flashes blinded, screams deafened us and people gathered with their cameras.

i sighed and took selena's hand, then my mom's who was behind me.

we walked inside a diner and sat towards the back so there weren't as many flashes.

when we sat down i got a text,

i looked down and the number was private.

i know what you did last night.

i froze and shot my head up, looking around to see if anybody is on their phone. everybody is on their phone though...taking damn pictures of us duh.

who is this?

i sent back.

no reply.

you don't know anything.

i texted.

i know you cheated on your wife. that ring a bell?

i gulped and deleted the messages.

"you okay?" mom asked.

i jumped and looked at them, "huh? oh yeah. i'm um. i'm fine." i said and smiled, putting my phone away.

well my life is over...
