"Enough girl talk, am I going to get a hug or what?" a voice said from my door.
I looked up to see Robbie stood by the door and jumped up which didn't help the headache
"What are you doing here? I thought you were at Uni" but really I was glad that he was here.
Neither mom or me had heard the front door open as we'd been engrossed in a conversation about hair styles.
"I told you I'd be here for you, Here I am"
I went over and thumped him "You're meant to be at Uni"
"Ouch, thanks for that"
"Your sister is right. What are you doing here?" mom asked getting up and crossing her arms, her brows raised.
"When you called and told me what happened I drove back here"
"You can't skip university in your first year Robbie. I told you she was fine now"
He shrugged "We haven't started proper classes yet, we're just moving in so I'm not missing much"
"That's no excuse. I want you to go back this instant"
"Give me two days"
Mom sighed exasperated "Robbie"
"Four and that's a far as I'm going"
Mom pressed her lips together and Robbie gave her an 'innocent' smile which looked really weird if I was being honest.
"Please mom" I said while glaring at Robbie and thumping him again when he ruffled my hair and it went all over my face, as if it wasn't a mess already.
I pushed my ebony hair back to see her looking between us; we were both smiling at her so she said after a while.
"Three hours and that's as far as I'm going" and she left with my half eaten toast and full cup of cold coffee.
I got back into bed and Robbie sat next to me "What happened Katy?"
I told him everything and after I was done the first thing he asked was "Who did you get it from?"
"Just some guy I heard about" I wasn't going to give him, anymore than that as I didn't want him trying to find the guy. I loved my brother but him in a fight with a dealer wasn't going to end well.
"How much did you pay for it?"
"You payed thirty dollars for one pill?"
"I was desperate"
"I know I sound like a hypocrite but you shouldn't have used drugs from some random guy, they just make you worse" I knew he'd used a few different drugs before but only for a good time and not to try and kill himself.
"I know I shouldn't have but I don't regret taking it"
"You're going to feel like crap tomorrow"
The headache was not letting up "Yeah I know, mom already told me all the possible side effects and illnesses I could get from taking one fucking pill"
Robbie rolled his eyes "Lucky for you I'll be here to stop you two from killing each other"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm coming home"
"No you're not" I said sitting up straighter and turning to face him.
"I just don't think this is the right time for me to go so far away. I'll take a gap year and go back next year"
