The Seven Deadly Simpson Brothers
Chapter 20 ~ Finding Eli
Walter moved around a lot in his sleep.
It was early morning and already he was switched positions twice, waking me up both times. The more of the little things I knew about him the more love (if that was even possible) I felt towards him.
I felt Walter's feet kick me under the sheets. Was he having a nightmare?
"Hey," I began, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"What?" Walter murmured his voice thick with sleep.
He was awake?
"You were kicking me.." I said.
"Sorry....can't sleep with socks on," Walter grumbled, "go to sleep babe."
Aww same! I wanted to say, but that would be weird and he obviously was very tired. I had taken my socks off before I hopped into bed. Walter hadn't. So I guessed he had just kicked them off instead.
Nothing to worry about.
Grey light filtered through the slightly parted windows. It was morning, and I could tell without even looking out of the window that it had rained last night.
Walter lay beside me on his front, his head facing away. Breathing slowly.
I placed a hand on the back of his neck and stroked it, waiting for him to wake up too. I had work today, but my shift didn't start until twelve. What time was it now?
Walter mumbled into the pillow then turned his head to face me. "Morning," he whispered.
"Morning," I whispered back.
"What time is it?" he asked my question.
"I don't know."
"I don't wanna get up," he said, caressing my face.
"Neither, but I have work," I said sadly.
"I need the money," I replied
"I'll give you money," Walter said, taking my hand.
I smiled, "Don't. I'll earn it."
I didn't want charity from my boyrfriend. Or from anyone else for that matter.
Walter gave me a look, and I kissed him quickly on the end of his nose before rolling out of his bed. Going over to Walter's bedside table I checked the time on my phone. It was half ten.
"Have we got time for breakfast?" Walter asked from the bed.
"Plenty!" I turned around grinning.
Walter covered his eyes and I laughed. He was a very respectful guy...except when he was drunk.
I took my clothes out of his drawer, "Be right back!" I said sweetly.
Changing into the same clothes I wore yesterday, I made a plan in my head of what I should get done today.
