Chapter 2

"Have you met the new guy yet?" Evergreen asked leaning over the lunch table with her chin in her palm. "I heard he got kicked out of his first lesson."

"Great, another rule breaker." Erza sighed despairingly.

"He doesn't seem that bad...but he did get kicked out of the second lesson not the first.." Lucy murmured. "He was in my lesson."

"You've had a lesson with him? Tell us more, what's he like?"

Lucy flushed as all attention turned to her. "Um-he's...well he likes to draw-that's why he got kicked out, he drew someone taking a drill to their head in his notebook-it was really good actually-gruesome but good. He reminds me a lot of Gageel, moody and intimidating but he just needs to warm up to people.

"Gossiping about me?" Gageel asked as he walked over to the lunch table and plonked himself down. It was an outside picnic table, better than sitting inside with the rest of the student body.

"Actually we were talking about the new guy, Lucy was just telling us about him, she seems to have a bit of a crush~" Cana giggled.

"I do not!" Lucy protested. "I don't even know him!"

"Oh you mean my cousin. He's a dumbass." Gageel snorted.

"The new kid is your cousin? No wonder he has your resting bitch face." Said Bickslow

Gageel rolled his eyes. "Ha ha. He's not really my cousin, not by blood anyway, but we grew up together, he's the closest thing I have to family except Metallicana." The teen shrugged.

"Awe that's sweet." Levy hummed, making Gageel blush. He looked away her in embarrassment.

"So Gageel, since you actually know this guy, maybe you could share some information, all we know about him are rumours." Evergreen sighed as she fixed Gageel with a stare. Her stare was known to be intimidating.

Gageel wasn't fazed by most things but even he felt uncomfortable being under Evergreen's glare so he relented.

"What are the rumours saying exactly?" He murmured, picking at his chipped black nail polish, he needed Levy to paint them again.

"Delinquent and criminal." Evergreen hummed.

"People are already assuming he's not straight because he has pink hair." Cana added.

"There's a hoard of people trying to get into his pants, and an equally large hoarde of angry boyfriends." Laxus chuckled.

"Well, the first one is partially true, he does have a habit of getting himself into shit because he's a fucking idiot." Gageel sighed. "As for the second-he's never mentioned what way he swings, and he hasn't had a long term relationship. I don't ask about his sex life either, I don't want to know what he does in his free time, and even if I did know it wouldn't be my place to say."

"That's fair." Lucy nodded.

"Wow girls fall at his feet and he's never had a long term relationship?" Bickslow shook his head. "How is it possible that me never found a girl he wanted to bang?"

"Don't ask me, I told you, we don't talk about our sex lives." Gageel muttered.

"So what's his name? We don't actually know it yet, well Lucy might but we don't."

"It's Natsu." Gageel responded.

"Bit of a girly name for a bloke ain't it?" Elfman commented.

"He'll punch you if he hears that. He was born in July, so his parents just named him after the season he was born in." Gageel muttered, trying to explain it away without outing Natsu.
