I wanna drown in the depths of you...
Where the water's so blue.

The heat from the sun was excruciating, cladding myself in minimal clothing didn't change the fact that it was well over 90 degrees. It felt like the hottest day of the year.

Despite my aggravation with the heat I wasn't complaining about the views summer had to offer. My eyes following behind every group of women that were worth looking at.

"They really meant it when they said suns out buns out."

I nodded at Blair's goofy commentary, my eyes finally turning away from the commotion. His eyes happened to be on what I had just been staring at.

"Blair stop being a perv." Ryan spoke up as she plopped down beside him while I laughed to myself.

"Mani was being one too."

Blair could never take the heat, throwing me under the bus was so unnecessary. It was entirely too hot to handle a speech from Ryan and I was hardly being a perv. My eyes wandered but what could I say? Anyone's eyes would follow, there was nothing like a fat ass.

"Mani don't be like men."

I was no better than them, I sometimes worried if I was worse. Women were just so beautiful and there was such a variety. I wasn't someone who liked all flavors, I was game for any shade of melanin though, there was so much diversity in that alone. Black women made it hard to choose and even harder to stay away.

"I'm sorry sometimes I can't control my eyes. It's like a glitch."

Blair laughed at my response but Ryan rolled her eyes with a shake of her head as she searched her bag for something. "I know you guys didn't come here just to sit around and look."

I shook my head immediately, I had no intentions on just watching. I planned to party hard, beach parties were my favorite and I wasn't sitting back during this. As timid as I was I needed some drinks in my system before I actually pursued anyone.

Plus the party hadn't really kicked off yet and people were still arriving. We hadn't even been here long, only getting here about thirty minutes ago and we spent most of that time looking for a spot.

Ryan was throwing jabs but already had her fair share of flirty conversations. Wasn't knocking my best friend's game, as beautiful as she was, she was bound to have men lined up. I'd even be her wingwoman if she needed it but she never did, she was almost as good as me when I was under the influence.

Now that she had finally decided to take a break from playing Cupid, she had come back to guard herself with sunscreen.

"You know I just found out that black people needed sunscreen?" Blair admitted and I couldn't contain my laughter but Ryan just shook her head in faux exasperation.

"Sometimes I don't know how I'm able to put up with you two."

"Cause your  love for us is so strong that it overpowers your annoyance." I shrugged and Blair hummed in agreement.
