As you sat at the Gryffindor table with Harry and Ron eating and chatting about the tri-wizard tournament and the yule ball your thoughts went to your crush Cedric Diggory you wanted to ask him so bad but you knew all the girls drool over him.

"Hey Y/n? You alright?" You heard Ron ask

"Yea Ron I'm ok" you smiled

"Who were you gonna ask y/n?" Harry asked

"Umm I don't know" your voice trailed off as you look behind you and see Cedric laughing with his friends

Ron and Harry followed your gaze and immediately knew who it was they saw how smitten you were and then how your expression turned sad as you turned back to face the table.

"Y/n why don't you just ask him?" Harry asked

"Yea right potter like he would ever say yes to me" you paused and looked at Harry "look at me Harry he has a lot of skinnier and pretty girls that are drooling over him"

"Y/n you're beautiful if he doesn't say yes his an idiot" Ron said reassuringly as he rubbed your back

You smiled at Ron "thank you Ron I'm glad you're my friend" you laid your head on his shoulder.

(Cedric pov)

I looked up to see y/n talking with Harry and his friend Ron she looks so pretty the way her h/c hair lays so beautifully on her back and how her e/c eyes shine when she smiles she is perfect

"So Ced are you gonna ask that cute girl from y/h?" His friend asked

"I really want to but I don't know if she would say yes I think she has a thing for Ron" he said looking down

"I don't think so she's been glancing at you since she sat down shes looking over here now" his friend laughed Cedric laughed along and looked up to see you turning around

"I'll ask her when we go to hogsmeade" he smiled but saw you lay your head on Ron's shoulder and got really jealous he then knew he had to ask you immediately.

(Y/n pov)

"Are we all going to hogsmeade?" You asked as Hermione joined you guys at the table "where have you been mione?" You asked looking at her.

"I was um in the library" she clearly lied but you nodded and smiled Hermione leaned over and whispered in your ear "can I talk with you in private" you nodded and she took your wrist and led you out if the great hall to the corridor

"Whats up hermione?" You questioned  she's just smiled and went to the side as you saw Cedric Diggory walking towards you

You instantly get nervous and start to blush he now stood right in front of you

"Uh h-hi Cedric" you mentally slapped yourself for stuttering

"Hey Y/n" he said cooly as he smiled at you oh his smile it melted you everytime

"What can I do for you Cedric?" You asked gaining your composure.

"Well I was wondering if you like to go the yule ball with me if you don't already have a date of course" he smiled you saw that he was also blushing

"Id love too!" You said a little to excitedly you clear your throat "I would love that Cedric" you smiled he chuckled at your reaction

"I'll see you tomorrow then" he left with a wink

"Oh my Godric the ball is tomorrow?!" You panicked "I don't have a dress!" You turn to Hermione "I need a dress mione please can you help me?"

"Of course let's go to hogsmeade and dress shop" she linked her arm with yours as you both slightly jog to all the shops

After a few hours of shopping and trying on dresses you found the the perfect one it hugged your curves perfectly and it was your favorite color you smiled in the dressing room

"Y/n I wanna see" hermione calls to you from outside

"Coming" you said as you exited the dressing room to see hermiones eyes light up in awe

"That the one Definitely" she smiled as you walked back in and changed out then you went to the clerk to purchase it and you and Hermione walked back to the school.

**Time skip**

It was now time to get ready for the ball you and Hermione decided to get ready together In her room you had put on your dress and you sat down at her vanity to fix your hair and do your make-up

Hermione was getting ready in the bathroom as she walked out you just finished getting ready you looked at hermione

"Wow you look gorgeous!" You said "So who's the lucky guy?" You asked

"Well um it's Viktor Krum" she smiled

"Holy Helena!! Viktor Krum wow mione you go" you smiled and giggled as she blushed

"You look amazingly beautiful as well y/n" she smiled

"Aw thank you mione I hope Cedric thinks the same thing" you chuckled

You both made your way to the great hall arm in arm as you descended the stairs you saw Harry and Ron they looked at both of you and there jaws dropped in awe you smiled and looked to see Viktor waiting for mione you let her go with a wink and made your way to Cedric when he turned around

"Wow y/n you look so beautiful" he blushed

"You don't look to bad yourself Diggory" you chuckled

He took your hand and guided you to the dance floor his hand placed itself on your plump waist as your hand went to his shoulder

You started to slowly dance quickly picking up the rhythm as you smiled and he looked at you in awe as he danced with you

"Y/n?" He questioned still looking at you

"Yes Cedric?" You looked up to meet his eyes

"Would you be mad if I kissed you?" He asked

"I-what you want to kiss me?" You said stunned

"We I have since I saw you at the beginning of the year" he blushed

You didn't say anything you just couldn't believe your crush liked you, you quickly gained confidence you put your hand on his face and pulled him in as his lips meet yours butterflies exploded in your stomach as you melted into the kiss he wrapped is arms around your waist as your arms wrapped around his shoulders deepening the kiss

You both slowly pull away

"Wow I've wanted to do that for a while" he chuckled

"Me too Cedric I've liked you for so long" you blushed
