"Ugh, I despise Monday's", I groaned, walking through the doors of Weston High, my naturally auburn colored hair flowing freely behind me at waist length. It was the third day of senior year for myself, and my blonde haired, cheerful, and slightly shorter best friend Aurora Levi, who was currently walking by my side.

"Well you definitely make that known every Monday that you come to school", she said, chuckling as she replied. Okay. Sooo, I guess I do have a thing about Monday's, but I mean hey, who doesn't right?

"I just want to make it perfectly clear to everyone exactly how much I hate them, Rory. I'm like, the Grinch of Monday's! Hate, hate, hate, double hate, loathe entirely!" I could barely finish because I was laughing so hard, I couldn't resist using the reference. Honestly, if anyone were to be the Grinch of Monday's, let's be real here, it would be me.

We just got to school and I already knew it was going to be a very long day. As we finally got to the cafeteria, of course the bell had to ring. Great, we were too late to even sit down for five minutes. But alas, we turned around anyway and started heading towards our first classes.

It turned out it was a good thing we were late, because a new face caught my eye as we walk past the office and left me frozen in my place. His whole demeanor just screamed, dangerous. He was extremely good looking, tall with amber colored hair, why did I feel drawn to this random new kid? I turned to ask Aurora if she saw him and by the time I turned my head back to where the boy had stood, he was already gone.

"Well, from what I've heard, his name is Blaze Chapman. He comes from a pretty private, secretive family. But besides that no one has really heard anything, why are you interested?.. Ohhhh you are! I see that blush!" She responded to my question enthusiastically. Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now. Even if I tried to lie, she'd know, it's a weird skill of hers to know when I'm lying.

"Umm, maybe a little bit, I mean come on I'm sure you noticed how jaw dropping that boy is." I replied with a laugh, "Anyone with eyes can see that"

"I guess you got me there, alright well we'll talk about this later, don't be late!", she responded enthusiastically, already breaking off down the hall to her own first class.

My first two classes were spent pondering why this, Blaze, had caught my eye. Something deep inside me told me I may be able to trust him, but I was also getting the feeling that I should be a bit cautious as well. After all, only a fool would trust someone they haven't even formally met yet, and a fool I certainly am not. I needed to get to the bottom of why he screamed danger.

The bell harshly pulled me from my thoughts before I could get any further. Awesome, two classes down, four more until my free period. That's also when I got to go home, I had just enough credits to be able to have a free seventh period that semester and graduate early; not to brag or anything.

After hastily grabbing my things I made my way to my third class of the day, English, my favorite class. I froze the second I walked through the door. Now you may be asking, why? I'll tell you why, because merely 5 desks away from where I myself sat in the back of the class, sat Blaze. Well shit.

As I was in the middle of my internal moral dilemma, he turned and our gazes locked. I can hardly describe the feeling that ran through my entire body the moment our eyes met, like a jolt of electricity; I felt a strange shift inside me, like a piece of a puzzle sliding into place. It was very odd, but something told me not to be afraid, that it was normal.
