Rhaenyra smiled and left to fetch for the wine. Finished with what he had to say, Corlys sat back down next to his son. The conversation shifted to Prince Damon's place in the council and making him commander of the watch.

Aeron has never really had much encounters with the prince. The last time he saw prince Daemon was when he made Aeron dual him.

Daemon was known to be a skilled swordsman and could not be easily defeated. During the dual, Aeron proved that he was at the same level as Daemon, even though being just a boy. It ended up in a draw.

Daemon's sword aiming at the young boy's chest and Aeron's blade aiming over the prince's throat.

That draw made Daemon have respect for Aeron, but knew that when Aeron was older, he would want a rematch. To set the score, of course. Aeron was also expecting to be another dual between him and the prince.

Rhaenyra began to pour wine into the cups. "Do you think Daemon is distracted by his present tasks," Virserys said.

"Well one might hope considering the associated cost," Lord Lyman said. Everyone in the council had some dislike for Damon, one way or another.

Aeron thought that Daemon was a man of his word and someone that made his thoughts be known to whoever he wanted.

He didn't think his father had something against Daemon, but knowing what Daemon is capable of. Corlys would have one sooner or later.

"I would urge that you not allow this triarchy much latitude in the stepstones, your Grace," Corlys said. "If those shipping lanes should fall, it will beggar our ports," He said. Corlys was determined to get his point across about the stepstones and wanted King Virserys to take notice.

"The crown has heard your report, Lord Corlys and takes it under advisement," Otto High tower said.

Both men narrowed their gaze towards one another. Corlys closed his eyes and sighed. He was done.

"Shall we discuss the heir tournament, your Grace" Otto suggested. "I would be delighted," Virserys said with a chuckle.

Rhaenyra slowly made her way to Aeron as it was his turn for more wine. "After this is done, go to your chambers, I have some thing to give you," Aeron whispered softly to Rhaenyra.

She grinned. "What are you up too?," She asked. Aeron smirked.

"Nothing, I just want to show my gratitude to the person who I will always be at her side," He said softly.

Rhaenyra couldn't help but stare at Aeron's beautiful eyes as he said that. She could feel her face heat up the more she stared at his perfectly sculpted face.

Aeron had a rough looking face but that's what she liked about his appearance.

Noticing that she was staring, Rhaenyra softly cleared her throat as she nodded and made her way to Otto to pour in his cup.

"Before the games are over, my son will be born, and the whole realm will celebrate," Virserys said with gusto.

"We have no way of predicting the sex of the child," Maester Mellos said.

"There's a boy in the queens belly, I know it," Virserys said, confident.

With all the talk of the child being a male, it made Aeron shift uncomfortably in his seat. He had a feeling that the King was way to confident in what the child will be.

Something was impending, and Aeron didn't like it.

The meeting had come to an end and Both Velaryons of the council made way to the halls. "I have a bad feeling that tomorrow will be a disaster," Aeron said.

Corlys furrowed his brows. "Whatever do you mean, Aeron?"

"I don't know, the Queen will probably begin her labors tomorrow, according the Maesters and she has had many troubles with her pregnancies in the past, what's makes this one any different?," Aeron sighed. "I guess I'm just worried."

Corlys smiled. "Just don't let it go to your head, Queen Aemma is strong, and I know you know that," He said to Aeron.

Aeron chuckled. His father was right.

Either way, he couldn't help but worry about it. He knew that the Queen was strong but he also knew her troubles.

He was scared for Aemma. He was scared about what the future would bring for the realm.

All he could do was hope that it would be good and that he would get through with his beloved Rhaenyra.
