At the start of your sixth year, you are in y/h and best friends with the Weasleys mostly Fred and George you guys have been pulling pranks together since your first year.

You were chatting with the twins about a new prank when you felt a tap on your shoulder you turn to see your crush of 3 years the adorable Neville longbottom standing there shyly like he has something to say.

"Hi Neville" you say smiling

"H-hi y/n" he said nervously

The twins shared a knowing look and a smirk you notice this and blush a bit Fred and George are your best friends they know you so well Nevilles voice interrupted your thoughts

"I was w-wondering if you like to help me with my herbology homework" he stuttered nervously

"Yea Neville I'd love to" you smile sweetly

Neville fiddled with his hands as he stared at the floor

"Well I was wondering also if you'd like to see the garden I've been working on?" He asked a little more confidently

"S-sure Neville" you blushed as you got up and walked with him a nervous silence filled the air as you made your way to the herbology green house.

Neville gently took your hand and guided you to the back of the green house to the massive garden he was working on

As he took your hand you blushed bright red he took notice and also blushed

"I-im sorry y/n I-i didn't mean to-" he started

"It's ok Neville I don't mind" you smiled at me causing him to blush more he loved your smile and has for a while Neville has had a crush on you since first year when you helped him catch his toad Trevor when he got out.

Ever since then he has thought of you, how sweet you are and how you always help others, how beautiful your eyes shine when you smile he was absolutely smitten

"Soo Neville" you started while he was still holding your hand in his "what have you been growing in this special garden of yours" you smile

"Well I uh I've been growing this flower for this special girl" he said looking away

You felt your heart sink a little the thought of your crush liking someone else hurt a little

"O-oh who is this special girl?" You asked

"I-i can show you" he guided you over to a flower pot with nothing in it

"Where's the flower?" You questioned

"One moment" he said as he tapped his wand on the flower pot you looked to see a flower slowly started to bloom it was your favorite color and as it completely opened you saw your name in the pollen

"Neville what's this about?" You asked with a blush on your cheeks and a shocked expression on your face

"It's for you y/n I've liked you for a while now and I wanted to make something special for you I've been working on this flower for months i-"

You interrupted him with a tight hug and took in his scent  he smelled of herbs, citrus, musk, and earthy mandrake root you smiled into his chest he was a bit taller than you after all he kinda stiffened at your touch but he slowly melted into it

"I like you y/n I- I like you a lot" he started

"I like you to Neville I have for a while" you smiled pulling away from the hug looking into his eyes as he stared into yours, both of you blushing like crazy.

"Y-y/n?" He asked.

"Yes Neville?" You smiled at how adorable he was

"C-can i-i kiss you?" He looked away

You gently placed your hand on his face and pulled him to a gentle kiss he kisses back smiling after a bit you both pulled away smiling

"Y/n will you be my girlfriend?" He asked he found his confidence to finally ask you

"Of course Neville I'd thought you'd never ask" you kissed his cheek the two of you held hands as you made your way to the great hall where you saw Fred and George smiling at you and jokingly making kissy faces at you two
