"You're so weird omg-"
"Yeahh but you like it," Dylan boasted,wiggling his eyebrows. I giggled and shook my head.
Sade's POV:
I was on the way to my 4th block when I heard a familiar voice laughing. I turned to look in the direction of where it was coming from and there she stood, but she was with Dylan Harding. I frowned at the sight and quickly walked into class without her noticing. Thoughts roamed my head once again....
Seriously?!
What if she starts dating him? I really wouldn't have a chance then!
Maybe they're just friends? Who am I kidding he's practically drooling over her
Ugh, why didn't I just say something?!
~~~~~~~~
Okay today's the day, I'm telling Lauren how I feel. As soon as lunch comes around, I'm saying something. Lord, I hope this works.
The bell had rung for us to break for lunch and I shot up from my seat gathering my things,
"Hey Lauren...." I trailed.
"Yeah?" she answered, still looking at her phone while grabbing her backpack and stood without wavering her attention from it. I waited until she finished and looked up at me before asking,
"Wanna go get lunch with me?"
Shining a bright smile, she nodded. "Yeah let's go," she said as she led the way out of class.
Pulling up in the Chick Fil A drive-in, I started my order,
"Hi, can I get an 8 count nugget meal with a sweet tea and lemonade please, and ranch for my sauce please?"
"Yeah of course! Anything else for you?" the employee asked me. I turned to Lauren who was on her phone texting someone. Whoever this person was seemed to really have her attention today, but I paid it no mind though. "What you want hun?" I asked her.
"Uhhhh...." she trailed, still texting as fast as she could before sending the message and looking at me. I raised an eyebrow before she spoke, "I'll do the 3 count strip, no meal, and water to drink, with polynesian sauce please." Her voice was loud enough for the employee to hear.
"Alright, I've got that for you, your total will be 15.37 at the red tent!"
Lauren's eyes widened as she quickly turned to me. I raised my eyebrows at her movements,
"What?"
"You didn't have to pay for me, why didn't you tell them two separate orders?" I shrugged,
"I don't know it wasn't a big deal to me I didn't feel like making them do all that" I looked over at her as she smiled shyly,
"Thank you Sade." I nodded,
"Yeah yeah."She chuckled.
The two of us sat and ate in silence, yet my mind was anything but quiet.
"Who were you texting? If you don't mind me asking...you- it just seemed like they really had your attention..." I looked down at my food as I started to mumble. Lauren glanced over at me as she finished chewing,
"Oh I'm sorry, it's this guy named Dylan, he asked for my number some days ago and I gave it to him not thinking anything of it. He texted me that night at the fair place and we've been chatting here and there ever sense." She paused then looked away from me as she continued. "He likes me which is obvious, but what you saw today was me trying to explain to him that I just wasn't feeling it ya know?" The curly haired girl glanced back over at me. I nodded,
