While Jake and Jess awkwardly talked about things between them, Albert and y/n obviously eavesdropped.

Y/n went to whisper something in Albert's ear but he was standing 8 inches over her so he leaned his head down to hear.

That made her fold.

She couldn't form a proper sentence- not even a single sentence.

Y/n: I- uh- well um

He smirked and they locked eyes.

Albert: Yes?

Y/n: I think- uh never mind

The sun against his hazel eyes was the cherry on top of it all. Albert loved her e/c eyes as well. Both of them just stared until Jake and Jess interrupted.

Jess: Hey lover girls

Albert: What's that supposed to mean?

Jess: You can figure that out

Jake: Soo

Y/n: See you guys tomorrow!

Jess blew a kiss as Albert and her walked away.

Jake's POV:

Jess sat down on the steps so I did the same.

Jake: Is it just me or is there something going on there?

Jess: I was thinking the same thing

Jake: They literally just met yesterday I don't get it

Jess: You should ask Albert about it and I'll ask y/n

Jake: I already tried. Once I noticed she was wearing his clothes

Jess: No wonder why they didn't look familiar!

Jake: I mean they seem like they'd be cute

Jess: Yeah it's just a little weird

Jake: He's dated a lot and his relationships always fail

Jess: I can't let her get hurt

Jake: Maybe it'll be okay. I think we should just see what happens and try and figure out if they're even anything

Jess: Yeah you're right

Jake: So anyways. I heard there's a party Saturday

Jess: Are you going?

Jake: I was thinking about it

Jess: Sounds fun as long as you're safe

She cares about me being safe?

Jake: I was thinking maybe you'd want to go

My palms started to sweat profusely.

Jess: Hmm I'll have to think about that one

Jake: No yeah take your time

Jess POV:

A party could be fun.. but with Jake?

You know that saying, "you wouldn't reheat McDonald's."

He is the McDonald's in question but I think it's okay.

Before I make a decision I have to talk to y/n.

Jess: Hey I got to go but I'll let you know okay?

Jake: See you! And no rush

Y/n POV:

Now I'm spending the rest of my week and weekend with new boy, alright I think I can handle that.
