Your best friend Cedric just finished the tri-wizard tournament in 2nd place Harry Potter came first you were in the stands cheering for your best friend and Harry Potter you were friends but not as close as Cedric his dad and your father were childhood best friends so you grew up together.

"Go Cedric I knew you could do it!!" You cheered Cedric looked around the crowd before his eyes landed on you and he smiled giving you a friendly wave even though you were in y/h and Cedric was in Hufflepuff you still hung out all the time. You noticed recently a small crush started to form and now every time you see Cedric you blush and get that oh-so-familiar nervous feeling

*Time skips to lunch**

"Hey, Y/n!" Cedric called after you, you were sitting at the Gryffindor table with Harry chatting about how crazy the games went

"Hey, Ced!!" You got up and hugged him. "How are you feeling?" You asked

"Oh I'm great look the Hufflepuffs are throwing a small party for me winning second place did you wanna come?" He asked, "oh you too Harry!" He smiled

"Yea I'll go!" You smiled at Cedric

"Count me in," said Harry

"Awesome I'll see you guys there feel free to bring whoever you want!" And with that, he ran off

You and Harry continued talking you liked Harry but more in a brotherly way he's just such a great friend

"We should bring Ron and Hermione," you said

"Yea I was thinking the same" Harry added.

"Awesome I'll grab Hermione and we will get ready and meet you tonight!" You placed a light kiss on his forehead in a friendly way you do the same with Hermione and Ron so Harry knew not to think too much about it you start rushing to the library where you see Hermione studying like always.

"Mione!" You whisper-shouted she looked up and smiled when she saw you. You waved her over and she gladly got up to walk to you

"Hey, Y/n how can I help you?" She spoke quietly

"Hufflepuff is throwing a party and I wanted you to come with me do you want to?" You asked to hope for a yes

"Yea that sounds fun are we getting ready right now?" She asked

"Yea we can let's go" you grabbed her arm  intertwining hers with yours and rushed to the Gryffindor common room Hermione had a dress that she had custom-made for you and you wanted to wear tonight

You and Hermione start getting ready you put on a beautiful floor-length gown that beautifully hugged your plump body the dress was a beautiful shade of your favorite color as Hermione did your hair and makeup you felt the nervous butterflies in your stomach will Cedric like how you looked?

Your thoughts were interrupted by Hermione gasping "y/n you look absolutely beautiful" she said beaming turning you around to see yourself and you did look amazing how the dress perfectly fit and how beautifully Hermione did your hair and makeup. "Are you ready to go?" Hermione asked

"Yea let's go" you and Hermione walk arm in arm to the Hufflepuff common room you speak the password that Cedric told you and walk in to see Harry and Ron already eating they look at you and their eyes grow wide and mouths basically on the floor you and Hermione giggle at this

"Hey boys," you said smirking

"Bloody hell y/n you look stunning," Ron said

"Truly beautiful" Harry added

You blushed at their compliments "why thank you" and playfully did a curtsey which made everyone laugh

"Wow" you hear from behind you to see Cedric "y/n you look just wow," he said blushing him being a little lost for words at your beauty you smile and blush beet red

"Thank you Cedric" you smile meeting his eyes he's still entranced by your beauty he holds out his hand as you hear a slow song Start to play you gladly took it and made your way to the dance floor

"You look very handsome Cedric" you spoke breaking the silence " why thank you, my love," he says Turning red as he just realized what he called you

"Your love huh?" You playfully say why blushing as well

"Sorry it just slipped the truth is y/n I've had this huge crush on you for 2 years" he confessed looking away

"I'm sorry what?!" You say in shock as you try to process what he just told you

"It's true I've always thought you were beautiful I've just been too shy to act on it" he looks into your E/c eyes and smiles

You are in a bit of a shock Cedric your best friend and long-time crush liked you back?! Your mind is racing as you think of what to say but you realized you didn't need words

"Cedric?"

"Yes y/n?"

"C-can I kiss you?" You stuttered

Before he answered he pulled you into a rough yet loving kiss and wrapped his arm around your plump waist holding on as your arms wrapped around his neck.

As you both slowly pull apart for a moment
"I'll take that as a yes" you giggled causing him to also chuckle you and Cedric spent the entire party together and loved every minute of it it was truly paradise.
