Chapter 1

"Taehyung, wake up its time to take your medicine," Ms. Kim says knocking on the door

"Tae!" Ms. Kim opens the door and walks over to the bed.

"Are you okay I've called your name like five times" she chuckles

"Yes mom, I'm fine just thinking about schoolwork and stuff" he shrugs

"Well, you can think about it later when you do your work. Now takes your pills I will be downstairs making breakfast."

She leaves his room and places a cap with diverse types of medication in his hands and a glass of water.

Taehyung examines the pills in his hands and counts.

5 pills that's not fucking normal then again, he thinks he isn't normal it's like he has every fucking disease known to man. He takes the pills, crawls over to the end of the bed, and stretches out his legs.

What would it be like to have two normal-functioning legs?

Well for starters He could finally reach the cookie jar without falling and two just maybe his mom would finally let him be able to go to school which he knows will never happen. He snaps out of thought when his stomach grumbles.

He pats his tummy "don't worry you will be fed soon". He gets in his wheelchair and goes to the kitchen.

"So, mom what's for breakfast today"

"The same thing you eat every day you know you can't have foods that make your blood sugar go up"

"I know but I was maybe thinking perhaps I could have some chocolate too" He looks up at his mom with puppy eyes, oh man the puppy eyes its basically his superpower, no one can refuse it.

She sighs, "Fine you can only have one and only one"

"Fine" he huffs as he rolls over to the table. As he eats his breakfast out of the corner of his eye, he sees a truck pass the house and his eyes go wide.

He rushes to the front door only to be meant with disappointment.

He was hoping it was the mailman to hopefully drop off the scholarship to Seoul University that he so rightfully deserved but instead it was a moving truck.

He looks at the truck again and thinks. We have not had new neighbors in forever maybe mom will let me have a friend I mean I'm not a baby anymore.
