~ connection/communication/engagement The main key to success here on Wattpad is connection. You don't have to go tell all your friends/followers 'hi' on their dms.
Why don't you try making random announcements from time to time. It keeps people updated & engaged on your status. And it also helps to see the people that are interested in your everyday life.
Announcements like... - Asking random questions (most of you even have a pet name for your fans😂 that's really nice) - just checking up on them regularly (little heys and hiszz) - posting how you feel atm and stuffs.. - And any other thing you feel like doing in other to keep your 'fans' updated.
And...sometimes, try replying people that post/spam your mb. Most of them either..likes you or wants to be a friend and a bunch just want to get you to read their book but it's totally fine.
Just try replying even if it means saying 'no I don't wanna read your book' (don't be rude tho😅)
I know most of us are too busy and our notification explodes all the whole time but we should try checking those.

There is no easy way to get reads. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're welcome 😂😭💜🤲💚❤️
Okay I'm just joking.
I see most of you are struggling with reads and you feel like the people getting reads are better than you and stuffs. I'm not good with cheesy words/ honeyed epistles so check this out!
~update schedule If you want to get more reads, don't ditch your book, Keep updating. You can have a schedule or something So your readers can know when you're updating and be eager to check it out.
If you're the type that don't keep to schedules (like me) then don't bother having one. Just update whenever you can, but don't keep your readers waiting.
~promotion When I say promotion I don't mean plugging. Promoting your book on your mb also works. Cause sometimes, people don't get your update notification.
But nowadays the notifications are too much so people don't even check their announcements so...😅
Anyways, you can also get a friend to help you promote. (But don't come to me though, I don't do promotions) And that sweet friend of yours would willingly share your book.
All in all, your followers doesn't determine the level of your reads. Your friends, active readers and people you think you're better than, does.
Ps: I'm also guilty of almost everything I wrote. Because I'm sure most of you would write that on the comment section 🔪🌚
