I actually am already working on it :) It will be called Ardor (meaning Burning Fire in Latin) and it will be about James and his mate :) I am not posting anything until M,MP,AH is finished :) Enjoy this chapter :)

A tear slid down my cheek as I knelt down beside the stone. My mothers name had been engraved in the polished rock with a cross underneath. I ran my fingers down the cool stone, tracing the letters of her name and the short saying near the bottom.

"Here lies, Sage Blackwell (1970 - 2012). Beloved Mother, Wife, and Grandmother." I whispered, more tears streaming down my face.

I sat down and crossed my legs as I continued to keep my eyes locked on her name. James walked over to me and sat down in my lap. I wrapped my arms around him and rested my chin on top of his head.

"Mimi." James whispered, and I heard a soft sob escape his lips.

James had never seen a grave stone before, but he knew his grandmothers name. James could feel the depression on me just like he could smell my other emotions. I tightened my arms around him as he began to cry and sob.

"Everything's going to be okay, James." I whispered.

I felt Jason sit beside me and wrap his arms around us. He moved forward so his legs were on either side of me, my back flat against his chest. Rosco sat down beside us, Isabella sitting in his lap. I saw him spare a glance in my direction, but I never turned to look at him.

                                                               **

All of us sat in silence, staring at the stone in our own thoughts. We had been sitting there for at least a few hours, none of us wanting to break the peaceful silence that enveloped us. But suddenly, Isabella's sharp cry made us all jump. Jason and I looked over at Rosco as he tried to quiet his crying daughter, while James got to his feet and stood in front of them.

"Is she okay?" he whispered, his little gold eyes locked on her tear streaked face.

"She's fine.. Probably just hungry." Rosco smiled up at him, while reaching towards the bag he had brought with him. I watched as Rosco brought out a bottle and held it against Isabella's lips, waiting for her to take it into her mouth. She refused to take it and I saw sadness cross Rosco's eyes. "She used to only allow her mother to feed her." he sighed.

I silently reached my hands out towards Isabella, making Rosco look at me in confusion. "Let me try." I whispered. He quietly placed Isabella in my waiting arms and I cuddled her to my chest as I rested her head gently on my arm. I took the bottle out of Rosco's hand and placed the tip right at her lips, waiting for her to take it. Her wide brown-gray eyes looked up at me, unsure, until I sent her a soft smile. She took the bottle into her mouth and began to drink. "Good girl." I whispered. James knelt down in front of me, watching Isabella gulp down her bottle.

I looked at James, sending him a smile, before I reconnected my eyes with Isabella's. Her eyes were beginning to droop, her gulping gone down to sips. Her small hands that had been holding onto her bottle near my hands, dropped down into her lap. I sighed softly before beginning to sing,

"Over in Killarney
Many years ago,
Me Mother sang a song to me
In tones so sweet and low.
Just a simple little ditty,
In her good old Irish way,
And I'd give the world if she could sing
That song to me today.

Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby.

Oft in dreams I wander
To that cot again,
I feel her arms a-huggin' me
As when she held me then.
And I hear her voice a -hummin'
To me as in days of yore,
When she used to rock me fast asleep
Outside the cabin door.

Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby."

Isabella's eyes were closed, her breathing deep as she slipped into a peaceful sleep. I smiled down at her, as I placed her bottle on the floor. I looked away from Isabella's peaceful looking face so I could see Rosco. He had a smile on his face as he looked at us.

"Thank you." he whispered.

"Any time, Ros." I replied, before looking in front of me.

James had laid down on the ground, his eyes half closed. I ran my free hand through his hair and a purr echoed through his small chest. His eyes continued to slide shut until I couldn't see his golden irises anymore and I knew he had fallen asleep also.

"We should head back." Jason whispered, and Rosco and I nodded in agreement.

Jason got to his feet and picked James up into his arms. Rosco stuck his arm out to me after he had stood, and helped me up as I continued to hold Isabella. On the way back, Isabella stayed in my arms, her head resting in the crook of my neck. My hand occasionally rubbed her back soothingly, which caused an almost soundless purr echo in her chest.

As we walked back into the house, the moon began to rise as the sun went to sleep. I gave Isabella to her father and we all said goodnight before going our separate ways. Jason and I took James upstairs and I quickly put him into his pajamas before setting him in his crib.

Jason stripped down into his boxers before he fell face first onto the bed, making me chuckle softly. I stripped down until all I was in was my panties, before throwing on my cotton shorts and one of Jason's t-shirts. I threw the fluffy black comforter back and laid down before I switched my lamp off.

I heard the click of Jason's lamp as the room was enveloped in darkness. The bed underneath me moved slightly as Jason got underneath the blankets and pulled me into his chest.

"James' birthday tomorrow." I whispered.

"I cant wait." Jason replied.

"You cant spoil him.. Unless its with food." I chuckled softly.

"Of course.. That's what my mother did.. Food, not presents."

"Shocked your not fat." I replied with a soft laugh.

"I know.. But I have never been fat, and I don't plan on being fat." he chuckled, nuzzling the back of my neck with his nose. It was silent between us for a few moments as we relished in each others scents and breathing.  Jason tightened his arms around me before whispering, "Goodnight, love" in my ear.

"Goodnight birthday boy." I grinned before turning so I could hide my face in his chest. "I love you."

"I love you too, Taylor."
