Once again I was speeding down the road, the covered bridge in view.
"Kig? Talk to me?" Dan pleaded as my brother continued his panic attack.

I closed my eyes as we sped passed the tree I had wrapped my original bronco around and screamed as I heard the tires roll onto the bridge "It's Faster Eli!"

I opened my eyes and slowed the truck turning to stay on Copperhead Road then sped up again, I looked at Dan. He looked worried so I explained "Like I said on the plane, That was Cry Baby Cry Bridge. It's faster but nit long before, just a couple of years before Hannah hit Jennifer, Some kids decided to prank Audra and Elijah saying our home was ablaze. They didn't expect me to be with them but I'm well known for speeding down the backroads especially My Road. I panicked when Max jumped out and when we spun out into the tree the bumper tagged him and sent him over the ravine."

"I'm so sorry, Kig...Eli." Dan spoke quietly

Eli muttered "That wasn't all. When we hit the tree I was thrown, Audra was crushed but Kig after checking on me went to find Max. Now we didn't know it was Max just someone but His friends came out scared. Quinten went to help Kig and managed to trip her. She got hurt worse falling than in the wreck."

"Cooper was the only one of them shitbags to tell the truth too." I gritted my teeth

I turned down our drive allowing the gate to open before driving through.
Dan's jaw dropped when he caught sight of the odd Victorian Manor. "Welcome to Spade Manor." Eli smiled clapping Dan's Shoulder

I parked in my usual place. Right near my front porch the led to a modest log cabin with three bedrooms and to full bathrooms. "This is My place, if you wanna make yourself at home I'll see what's going on for work and come right home."

Dan smiled "Sounds good to me."

We all got out of the truck, I waited to make sure the door was indeed unlocked and for Eli to go onto dad's front porch. I blew Dan a kiss and ran over to Dad's using the side door I ran in "Papa! I'm reporting in!"

His muffled cheery voice came from the back of the house "Reporting in? Kig?"

I walked into the living room and waited for Papa to amble his way in, He smiled wide when he stepped in holding his arms out gesturing for me to fill them I obliged and said "I got a joint text with Eli to Report In."

"It wasn't me." Papa said puzzled.

I crossed the room and opened the front door grabbing Eli I exclaimed "Well I Guess I dragged him home anyway."

"Elijah! My word Kiga!" Papa gasped pulling us both into a hug "My little Twins! Wait Kiga you said Two guests?" Papa blinked at me

Eli curled his lips up in a cynical grin and stated "Kig has brought a Boy Home, Papa."

"His Name is Dan, Dan Anderson." I blurted

"You go get your friend and be a proper Hostess." Dad snapped his fingers.

"I intended to but after the Texts plans changed. I'll get Dan while you tell Eli and Eli show Papa the Texts."
I turned and bolted before Eli could start listing questions about Dan which would compel Papa to ask. I ran to my home and crept in "Dan?" I called
