Mint Plant (Bonus Chapter)

A.N: This is a short bonus chapter on what happened to Minthe at Chapter 25-26

"I'm done with her, Cerberus." My clear voice rang out.

Her sly eyes widened in horror as the shadows behind me leaped towards her.

Her shrill and spine-chilling scream echoed through the empty hall as my loyal pounced on her.

He latched deep onto her arm, crushing the bones within. Her eyes brimmed with frightened tears as she tried to pry Cerberus away from her arm. Only to widened in despair as her hands goes straight through him.

"Get your fucking mutt off me!" She wailed.

Her hair that was once straightened perfectly ended up looking like a birds nest on her head. Her flawless makeup ruined, with her heels kicked across the room.

"What did you just call him?" My eyes turning a crimson red glaring down at the whimpering mess.

I called Cerberus back and in an instant he was back by my side.

I glanced at myself in the mirror. My hair had darkened and a crown of thorn grew on my delicate head. In just a blink, crimson red eyes has completely replaced my blue ones.

"Hm, well there you go. Making me all mad. Getting my feathers all ruffled up or something. Thats what they say nowadays right?"

Vines with short but sharp thorns grew from the marble tiles, leaving small cuts on her pale arms and legs.

"Persephone! I'm sorry! I shouldn't have- ." She screamed in pain.

However she got cut off when a particular vine hit her cheek.

"Ah ah ah. Careful." I tutted.

"What do you want? I'll give you anything! You want money? Gold? To leave him alone? I will do it! I'll go far away and never return!" She cried out.

"I recalled you holding yourself to such a high regard. Something about you being much more alluring than me." I grin maniacally.

"No! No! I'm not! You are the Queen. His Queen! There are no other fairer or more alluring than you!"

I hummed as I picked up the small perfume bottle from the vanity. Giving it a small whiff, my nose scrunched up in distaste as the sickening smell of mint wafted through the air.

I slowly unscrewed the cap before dumping all of the liquid in the bottle onto her paper-cut filled body. She screamed as the perfume fell onto her cuts.

"Quincy!" Hades burst into the room, but immediately stopped to take in the sight.

"Persephone." He whispered nervously.

I whipped my head back to see him cautiously closing in on me. His shoes crushed the vines beneath his feet and I glared at him angrily.

He held his hands up in surrender and carefully stepped over my thorns. My eyes narrowed as he became within arms length. However, my thorns stopped him from coming any closer.

"I am cleaning up your mess, Hades."

"I know, baby."

I scoffed.

"I am not Quincy. Not yet. Soon we will become one but you cannot sway me with those sweet words especially after her." I glared at Minthe.

"But nothing happened with her. Deme- ." Hades started talking.

"Shut up."

I motioned to Cerberus and he encircles me in a protective stance.

"But you're my dog!" Hades glared at my loyal.

"And as for you, maybe its time that I remind you of where you belong." The vines swallowed up Minthe, cutting her in mid-scream.

I sighed, facing the mirror and leaning my hands on the vanity. Cerberus has been dismissed, leaving the two of us alone.

"Persefóni."

"You're running out of time,"

"I'm sorry, I just awoken."

"That's not an excuse."

Hades grew quiet.

"Fix it, else we run." My head rose as I saw him in the mirror.

His cautious posture stood upright. His fearful gaze turned into an angry and possessive one. His eyes turned to a similar crimson red.

"You're mine!"

He tore away the lethal vines protecting me, making sure they don't fall anywhere near me. His arms and pants tore through, with blood seeping out of them. But he paid no mind to them.

With a forceful tug on my dark locks, he held me in place. He forced my gaze to meet his piercing obsidian orbs.

"Good." I smiled.
