It was official. Mia hated flying. Not even 3 hours into the flight she had already decided that once she was home safe in London, she'd never get on a plane again.

Sure, she had flown loads of times. Especially recently. But this one takes the cake.

Ten hours of sitting in the middle seat was one thing, but this was so much more than that. Ethan was on her left, babbling on and on about something JJ did to piss him off. Harry was on her right acting as if she didn't exist, which was already bad enough, but he insisted on watching some outrageous plane crashing documentary compilation that he had downloaded on his phone whilst he was doing it, which was another thing sending her into a spiral.

She wasn't sure if they were crossing the Mediterranean or the Arabian Sea when the pilot decided to play bloody Dance Dance Revolution with the plane and the turbulence hit. Not to mention she had been needing a wee for the last 3 hours but she was too scared to tap Harry's shoulder to ask him to get up. She kept ordering drinks for Ethan in hopes that he would need to get up and use the toilet so she could escape as well, but it didn't work. All in all, it was quite a miserable experience.

Once they landed, Mia practically ran off the plane. She was surprised to see everyone else in a pleasant mood. Freya seemed to have slept off her moodiness about the early morning flight, JJ had upgraded himself to First Class so he was going to be cheerful regardless, and Talia had been just as excited for the trip as she was 10 hours ago.

By the time all of their luggage had been collected, the group of 12 found themselves stood in front of the arrivals terminal with a large pile of suitcases besides them as Josh stood to the side on the phone.

It was actually quite beautiful. The sun was shining, the weather was practically perfect. It was mid-afternoon by the time they had arrived.

The way that the airport was set up was that it was surrounded by water. The Maldives were essentially tons of islands and Josh claimed that the resort he booked was supposed to come get them up in some sort of boat. He was off on the phone apparently trying to sort out where they were meant to be picked up.

"How was the flight for the rest of you?" JJ asked, a sinister grin crossing his face.

Mia rolled her eyes, she had been listening to Ethan complain about JJ upgrading without telling anyone the entire flight and she couldn't be bothered with JJ's attempt to get a reaction.

"Oh piss off, dickhead." Ethan groaned, shooting his friend a dirty look.

Simon let out a chuckle as he shoved his phone into his pocket, "I don't know why you bother getting an upgrade, you could fall asleep literally anywhere."

"I've got the money, innit." JJ shrugged, smug.

But it only earned him abuse from his friends. They actually gave him a hard time all the way up until they reached the resort. At one point on the boat journey, Lux joked about pushing JJ overboard but said it would be alright because I've got the money, innit.

"Fam! That don't even make sense!" JJ spluttered out, as their boat pulled into the resort.

"You know it's mad, he's got his own little bungalow." Lux said as the boat docked, watching as everybody stood up.

The group gathered their things while the resort staff helped with the luggage as everyone got off the boat. The resort itself was stunning, most of it being on top of the ocean. There were wooden decks connecting all the private over-water bungalows to the rest of the resort. It seemed like there were paths that led to the actual island portion of the resort where there was greenery and a breathtaking beach. Mia couldn't help but thing that it really felt like paradise.
