Chapter 24

Liam and Demila were in charge of the pack today, and for the next week or so, so everything was in order for them to relax their worries and have the time they deserve.

Louis was still ridiculously drowsy, so when he couldn't keep his gaze on their company, hesettled for listening to the conversations with his eyes closed. Harry was sitting with his legs criss-crossed and a blanket on his lap that Louis' head was laying on. The Alpha was constantlyrubbing and massaging his mate's skin and brushing his sandy hair with his fingers.The Omega was comforted by the deep rumble of Harry's voice he felt through laying on his legswhile the Alpha excitedly chatted away with his brothers. And every time Harry's hands wouldlift off of his mate to talk with them as he always did, they would always come back down tosoftly pad at Louis' skin.

Louis' first mild contraction happened in the early afternoon. The sun was nowhere to be seen because of the snowstorm, it was extremely dark outside, but he figured it was high in the sky somewhere up there. He tensed at the feeling in his body and his nails scratched against Harry's thigh as he balled them into a fist, taking long and heavy breaths.

It scared the Omega even though he knew what it was, and Harry turned his attention to him atonce, gently pushing the hair off his face. "How are you feeling, mama?" he murmured to hisstressed Louis."It's not my favourite," Louis responded, seeking eye contact with his Mother. "What was that?Was that what I think it was?" he asked her."Yeah, darling. That was most likely a contraction. Don't worry, you'll be getting them all day.They'll get pretty painful when your water breaks, but don't fret on it. Happens to all of us," shecomforted, still in awe her baby boy was having pups of his own.Miri suddenly reached for Louis and Niall put her down curiously, observing as she wiggled herway to Louis' belly and slapped at it with a tiny hand. "Well hey," Louis greeted, lightly rubbingat her back. "What are you doing?"

"I wonder if Miri will bond with one of your Alphas," Niall wondered, Zayn furiously coughing when he was caught off guard at the idea.

"Oh, no," the Beta argued, skewering his subpack with a feisty glare. "No, no, no, my daughter isnot mating with any one," he finalized while everyone in the teepee sniggered at his irrationalfatherly claim."It is hard to sit back and let it happen at first," Joéna admitted, giving Harry a wink. "But youcan't stop nature.""Honestly, Zaynie. Who could possibly treat her better than a Styles?" Niall reasoned, Louisgrinning madly as a result. Zayn groaned and tried his best to accept the idea, but it was stillterrifying."You realize we all have a long time to wait for something like that, right?" Louis asked, andZayn let out a sigh."Yeah, I know. I just don't want her growing up," he complained."None of us like that part," Joéna agreed. "But they will make you so proud as adults. Just think... you'll be having conversations with her someday."Louis' pups started kicking the shit out of him, and he moaned in distaste. "Harry, can you flip me over? We don't like this side anymore," he pleaded.

"Of course. Alright, here we go," he said as they began the difficult turning ritual. It had been a mission the last month, but they had it down to a science. This was a bit different because Louis still had to face the pack, so Harry had to spin him so his head and feet switched directions, and the Alpha settled to sit behind his mate's back for a while.

Louis' skin was on fire so he moved to weakly kick the quilt off of his lower half, but his Alphastopped him before he could and fastened it under him for extra security. "Lou, stop that, love," he whispered into his Omega's ear as their family were talking amongst themselves. "I can allowpeople to hear the sounds of pleasure I pull from you, and I will let them around us when we'reconnected, but I refuse to allow any wolves to see your body. That's for me," he statedinarguably."I'm sorry, Alpha. I'm just so hot," said Louis as he ran the back of his hand over his sweatyforehead.Harry hummed, and dipped a cloth into one of the water vases, gingerly running it all up anddown Louis' body as his mate sighed in relief. "There you go, mama."
