SYNOPSIS:
Peyton Burns was a witch on the run from a pack who abused her and her gifts. Despite making a life for herself in a few cities, she never truly felt safe. It always felt that her pack would find her at any moment no matter how far away she ran. She soon left her latest hiding place behind to journey to a town she was inexplicably drawn to. Beacon Hills, California. No one there knew who the Burns girl was or where she had come from. And it was far away from the pack she was running from.
It seemed to be the perfect place for her.
However, those feelings soon changed when Peyton discovered that Beacon Hills was home to a lone beta and an alpha building his pack. After a year of avoiding werewolves, she didn't know how to feel. While the beta seemed to be friendly, the alpha posed a threat to her. Especially with his newly-turned betas who would rather have her be anywhere but in their town. The Burns girl's head was telling her to get out of there and move on to the next town. But her heart was telling her to stay and make a life for herself.
She needed to decide which one to trust.
Just when Peyton thought she had enough problems, a giant lizard started terrorizing the town. Everyone was running around trying to protect Beacon Hills with little to no information on their latest enemy. And just when Peyton believed things couldn't get any worse, it was discovered that she may be the only person who could save them all.
She just hoped Beacon Hills wasn't always like this.
