Your cry fest didn't last long as Aki's body was swiftly bagged up and brought to the train's morgue. A convenient car to have based solely on the fact that you did not need to smell her slowly rotting corpse.
After being gently led back onto the train by Koito and Tsukishima, you currently sat in the last car with Tsurumi. His entourage fully accounted for.
Ignoring the obvious stares from them, you furiously wiped your face clean with a handkerchief kindly given to you by Tsurumi. The white cloth was easily dirtied by the blood and grim coating your skin.
The bodily fluid still stained your uniform but at least your face looked clean. Swiping your cheeks one last time, you offered the blood soaked cloth back to Tsurumi.
"Thank you, sir. But, would you like me to clean it for you?"
He smiled and shook his head lightly, "No need."
His slender fingers nimbly moved to grab the cloth from your hand. You tensed when his fingers slightly brushed against your own. A small shiver shot down your spine at his icy touch.
Quickly pulling your hand back, you nervously observed Tsurumi's form. His face looked poised despite the recent events and you noted how pristine his uniform looked. He had clearly stayed in this train car the entire time, likely only giving orders. The thought made you purse your lips.
Lucky bastard.
Shaking away your thoughts, you grimaced in disgust when you noticed him neatly folding the soiled cloth into a small square before placing it into his coat pocket.
You felt your face pucker up at the thought of Aki's and your own blood staining the inside of his coat jacket. Yet, Tsurumi paid no mind to what normal people would call outrageous. Little things like this reminded you of what a strange guy he was.
Not bothering to dwell on Tsurumi's mental state, you sat up straight and cleared your throat. The awkward tension still dewling in the air only fueling your desire to question him, "Sir, if you don't mind me asking, will the mission in Sapporo be affected by the death of Aki?"
Tsurumi crossed his legs and hummed thoughtfully, "Possibly. Possibly not."
Your eye twitched with annoyance at his vague answer, "Then will the mission still commence as planned, sir?"
Tsurumi nodded, "Sergeant Tsukishima, the map if you will."
You jolted in surprise when Tsukishima suddenly whipped out a map and neatly laid it on the table. Leaning forward for a better look, you took in the extensive map of roads and railways in what you could only assume was the city of Sapporo.
Three locations on the map were circled in bright red ink. You turned your head sideways at the odd shape. The markings had created a large disproportionate triangle.
