"PAGING AGENT TWILIGHT. ARE YOU IN?" The handler talked into the earpiece "Agent Twilight?"

"Where the hell is Agent Daylight and the kid? They were supposed to meet me an hour ago!"

"Traffic. I'm sending in more spies to assist you-"

"No. Fuck it." she groaned "Kinda my fault for throwing a motorcycle in front of a car."

"Kinda?"

"Oh fuck you. Like you'd do any better with security on your ass." she dug her nails into her hand, frustrated.  A strong scent filled her nostrils as it suddenly reeked of booze. She could've sworn she felt her lunch rise in her throat.

"Hey there, gorgeous." a voice from behind her said.

"You're late." she tapped on her handbag in morse code 'The drug lord almost escaped. I had to improvise.'

Daylight replied 'Had to get the kid a suit. I wasn't planning on bringing him along wearing a shirt and pants.' "Apologies, m'lady."

She raised one of her eyebrows and Daylight stepped out of the way to reveal the blond wearing a dark blue suit, complete with the bowtie and cuff links.

"You have horrible taste in suits."

"As long as it was expensive." he shrugs.

"Kid." she walks up to him, motioning him to follow her.

Their mission was stacked. Kill the assassins hired to kill heirs from elite families, kill drug dealers planning on also killing the heirs and kill the one person who hired them all. Whoever planned that had the common sense to get a backup plan.

"If we track and kill the mastermind, the whole plan goes down, right?" the blond asks her.

"No. It's possible they've been paid in advance. The mastermind was planning on framing it all as a death pact. Making it seem like every guest who signed on the guest book has consented to their deaths..."

"That's just merciless..."

"Yes, and it's our job to try and keep every single one of these privileged fuckers alive. Fuck, I'm gonna go get a drink."

NOW.

"I was hoping we could talk..."

"Hmm? About what?"

"About why you retired."

"I don't have to tell you anything. Know your place." she scoffs. Loid moves, blocking her path "Are you serious? It's a private matter, now move."
