Frozen to the spot, Marina glared at the monitor then at Thomas. "That is the group you have been watching. How could you not tell me Newt was in it?"

His eyes alternating from the monitor to Marina, Thomas stepped back. "I don't, I don't know. I just-"

We have to go, Marina, now! Gally hurried into the room and grabbed Marina by the arm, as well as Thomas who still stood perplexed, his eyes on the monitor before him. C'mon

A grim expression on her face, Marina followed Gally down the stars into a separate room where he finally let go of Thomas and leant against the wall, his eyes on Marina before him, her back against the cold stone.

They lied to us A tear rolled over her cheek. "I remember, Luke. He was my brother" She brushed the tear off her cheek and glanced at Gally, who bit his lip. What else are they keeping from us?

His finger on his mouth, Gally leant closer and wiped another tear off her chin as he lifted Marina's head. Remember the city of light, we were there. The picture? He pulled a ripped photograph from his pocket and handed it to Marina who inspected it and smiled.

However as she turned it in her hand, her eyebrows furrowed and she stared at Thomas, who still stood perplexed, trying to figure out what did not go right in his head. "What?"

"That's me, but it says Lucy" Marina handed him the photograph, then turned to Gally, who had an ear toward the hallway to keep out for anyone walking past them. "I remember, the fountain, and the tree you once drew. How come I did not remember before?"

"Why do I not remember newt?" Thomas threw in, his voice shaking as he stepped closer to Marina. "I am so sorry, it's like, I recognised him, but did not know why, and when you mentioned Newt, it was like another person. An old friend"

Her arms wrapped around him, Marina caressed his cheek and smiled. I know, they did something to us, we have to find out, and get our memory back

But how?

The eyes on Gally, Thomas let go of Marina and walked over to him. What have you done? You are constantly with Dr Paige, so, what do you know?

Guys? Marina jumped out of the way as the door flew open and a soldier stepped into the room. Hidden behind the door, she held her breath, watching as the men escorted Thomas and Gally through the hallway, up the stairs and into a wing of the building, Marina could not follow them physically. Instead, she closed her eyes, sank to the ground and kept up with Gally, watching where they went, through his eyes.

Are you alright? Thomas sounded concerned as he listened to Marina's breaths far in the distance.

She nodded and listened to the conversation of the men outside the room, who continued to search for other children around, but when they did not find anyone else or anything suspicious, they blew off the search and returned to their posts. I'm fine, they are gone now.

Be careful, Rina

You too Marina hurried back up the stairs toward her sleeping quarters, when another girl her age, with long black hair crossed her path. However the eyes focused on something else, the girl took no notice of her and vanished into another room. Taking a deep breath, Marina went to the bathroom and splashed cold water into her face

"What were you two doing in that room?" Dr Paige inquired, Thomas and Gally on chairs before her.

His eyes on the pile of papers on the desk, Thomas shifted in his seat. The presence of another man in the corner of the room gave him a strange feeling, but the soldiers beside Dr Paige did not make him more comfortable either. "Well, we-"

In that moment several screams came from the control room, and Gally jumped from his chair and leant over the desk to look at the monitor.

Dr Paige and the strange man came closer as well, her fingers flying over the keyboard to see what had happened. At once she replayed the footage of inside the Glade of Group A where a small figure managed to get high on the wall around the Glade and then dropped.

A yelp escaped her mouth as Marina watched from the back of the control room as the others viewed the footage as well.

"Subject A5 has fallen, I repeat Subject A5 has fallen. Await orders"

"Stand down, it is out of our hands" The voice came over the speakers and soon after the hologram of Dr Paige appeared amidst the control room. "Please stay calm, we we figure out what has happened, but until then we ask you to continue your work and focus on the subjects and the patterns as you are trained to do, anything else we will take care of"

Shaking, Marina stood there, her back against the wall, the footage viewing over and over again in her head as Gally and Thomas still watched the monitor where the stranger zoomed in on the person and reviewed what exactly had happened.

"Get the children out of here" Dr Paige demanded, and the soldiers brought them back to their quarters while she and the man argued about the incident. "He did not just fall, he-"

Thomas and Gally exchanged glances then, as soon as the soldiers dropped them off at their quarters, they sprinted through the next door in direction of the control room from where Marina hurried along the corridor. Gally, Newt her voice sounded shaky even in his head as he turned around a corner and caught her just as she dropped. Is he?

I don't know, but we will find out Gally picked her up from the ground and followed Thomas back to the quarters where he placed her on a bed. "Now what?"

"We have to get in there and get him out" Marina whispered, her hand pressed against her head.

How?

I don't know. I don't even know if he is still alive or where this place is. Do you?

No, I don't know. What the hell have we been doing anyway?

Stepping to and fro, Gally exchanged glance with Marina who nodded and sat up on the bed.

His eyes on her as he turned his head, Thomas waved his hand. "Hey, can you include me in your conversation?"

"There is nothing left to say" Gally opened the door and headed out.
