Don't Look Back! Part 2

Chapter Twenty: Subjects A and C

"Keep them separated. We do not want this to happen gain" Dr Paige's stilettos clicked over the floor as she walked out of the room and along the hallway to the next where she found Jack bound to the bed, his body covered with a heavy blanket to keep him cool. The monitor beside him showed a body temperature way over 43 C / 109 F. "Now that we know what they are capable of, we might use them for the A or B Group"

"For now we need to make sure those things do no harm to any of us. We still do not know the components, or how the children managed to get through them." Dr Wilson stepped from one side of the bed to the other. "Are you sure, you want to erase all of it, we could use them to find out more"

Dr Paige eyed Dr Wilson, then shook her head, the hand placed on Jack's twitching arm. "Not now, it is too dangerous to let them back together. Jack and Lucy will be deleted. We can use the third boy to find out more. Where have you placed him?"

The hand gesturing to another window, Dr Wilson followed as Dr Paige stepped closer and had a look at the boy floating in the milky green liquid. "As soon as he is ready we will try to extract as much essence as we can"

"But do not harm him, we need the boy alive" With those words Dr Paige walked out of the room and back into her office to note down all she had spotted on the children, what the soldiers had found on the broken cocoons and Lucy. Her body kept reacting different than those of the others, even her brother.

Using her dictation program, Dr Paige went through the file of Darian aka Luke.

The boy exhibited a massive surge of power that reflected those of his sister, especially after she had been wounded. His intellect however has not the sufficient level of creativity as noticed in his sister. How far his powers can actually go we cannot tell, but for now we have managed to contain them and the boy does not retain any memory of them. In Group A we will see how far his abilities can lead him. Furthermore, there might be an opportunity to reunite the siblings if needed. For now we have contained the sister and her pendant, Jack. To what extend their powers have grown we do not know, however it is of utmost importance to keep them apart as we have noticed the strong connection. They have found a way back to one another, which we will utilise later on, if the experiments continue to work.

The remaining subjects have shown no further sign of power comparable to subject A and C, except for one other girl that will come to use in the further upcoming experiments.

Reading through her notes, Dr Paige smiled, closed the files and turned in her chair to open another viewer. It showed a group of girls running around inside a tall construction, and on the other half of the desktop, it showed young boys around the same age in a similar construction.
