That next morning, as Kirishima blinked away sunligh, he was surprised by the absence of another person beside his skin."Over here shitty-hair," his familiar grumbly but gentle voice called.
Stretching, Eijiro sat up, eyes half closed, a small smile on his face, and waved a good morning. At the foot of the bed, Bakugo was sitting in his desk chair, wrapped in a blanket and holding a steaming mug.
Taking a long sip, he gestured to the bedside table, where a Red Riot themed mug sat, filled with peppermint tea. Gladly he grabbed it and took a sip, eagerly thanking Bakugo.
It was a school morning and the two, like any school morning, were quick to wake and get ready. Kirishima grabbed a uniform from his own dorm, though, quickly returned to his friend's dorm to hang out and finish his tea.
By 7:45 they were ready to go and their friend group stood outside Katsuki's dorm catching up with the two when the stepped out.
"Y'all are always together aren't you. What's up with that?" Mina mentioned quietly when they met up, nudging Kirishima's shoulder with tease as they walked.
Throughly annoyed, and a bit embarrassed, Bakugo rolled his eyes and set off a small explosion inches from her face. To which, she quickly rescinded. "Apologies friend."
Dropping the interaction, the group began the walk to their first class, chattering as usual about school drama and general nonsense.
The first three periods of the day were dull, like many days of school, but they spent English class reading, which was rather pleasant.
Lunch came and the two and their friends ate at their usual spot, beneath a shady tree, outside in the courtyard.
Kirishima, as usual begged for a bit of Bakugo's food, and reluctantly he shared. Mina and Kaminari also begged for some, to which he gave the same response as every other time they asked, saying it was his food and who he shared it with was his own business.
The day wasn't all that bad afterward. There were some slideshow presentations scheduled for history, and theirs weren't until the next day, so it was just a matter of sitting there.
Of course, it wasn't all that interesting, and halfway through, the two began to doodle on each others extra papers, Kirishima desperately trying to stifle laughter in the quiet room.
Nothing of note happened though, it was simply an average school day.
When the final bell rang, their friend group gathered once again, and walked back to the dorms, rehashing the events of their individual days along the way.
They split up in the dorms to change out of their uniforms, meeting back together in Jiro's room to hang out and go over the evening's homework.
Jiro's girlfriend also joined the gathering, quickly accepted into the gang after bringing wit her a tray of snacks. Momo Yaoyorozu was sweet as a peach, nothing like the gruff, spunky bunch, but she frequently hung out with them, and seemed to enjoy it, or at the least, she liked hanging with her girlfriend.
Bakugo liked her enough, she was nice, and smart, good at helping with homework. Truly, he loathed helping his idiot friends with their homework— maybe not Kirishima 'cause he paid attention enough, but the others, not so much, and Yaoyorozu was glad to help, taking literal hours of wasted time off him. Hence why, he made a point to be nice to her.
"Hey!" Kirishima chirped, eagerly patting the seat pillow beside him as the blond entered. Ignoring the invitation, he took the seat, and grabbed the red-head's homework to see how much there was left to do.
"Hells yeah, Ei—" Surprised with how little there was, he ruffled Eijiro's hair, disheveling a few spikes, loosely held by his favorite red bandana.
"Who's Ei?" Sero asked, genuinely confused.
"Ei?" A hint of redness began to creep the blond's cheeks at the question, and he gestured toward the redhead. "Eijiro, dumbass, who else?"
"Eijiro? Ohhhh— you mean Kirishima?"
"Wait, you idiots didn't know his first name!?"
"Kat, it's fine," Eijiro laughed charmingly, grabbing onto his hand, trying to keep him from exploding.
"Dude, none of us know your first names! Ohhh, wait, are y'all a—?!" Denki burst out, cut abruptly off by Bakugo, an explosion rolling up his full forearms.
"We are not!" He shouted out, unable to ignore the hot crimson clouding his face.
"Okay!!" Momo hastily interrupted, saving things before they went off the rails. "We're getting off track!! It's study time!!"
She managed to quickly calm the group down, and refocus them— much to Kirishima's gratitude. Amongst the others, it was quickly forgotten, a laughable moment that withered quickly away into the recesses of their minds, to be easily forgotten in a short time.
Even with that reassurance, it seemed to bother the blond for the rest of the time. Despite noticing, Kirishima said nothing, when something genuinely bother his friend, he knew he'd not want to bring attention to it in a public setting, something he always made an effort to respect.
The study session was over soon enough, and the two said goodbye to their friends, leaving to the redhead's dorm to relax for the rest of the evening.
But neither addressed the comment. Franky, it was better off dropped anyway. Laugh it off.
Together, they watched stupid videos for an few hours, and chatted about various weekly plans. Soon enough, time crept up and they said their good nights and Bakugo headed next door to his own dorm.
Putting up his work and getting ready for bed, Kirishima dragged himself under the covers and waited for Katsuki's lights to go out before allowing himself to fall asleep.
