The white Apple logo appeared before his black screen as he chewed his lip anxiously, knowing Colin had called him by now.

Sure enough, ping after ping his phone vibrated with missed calls, voicemails and text messages. Cory didn't bother listening to the voicemails, he had read over the messages.

His heart hammered with rage. He punched the side of the stall before finishing off the small bottle of liquor.

Alida looked toward the restrooms, concerned that Cory was having another episode. He had been in there a while, long enough for his food to already be at the table.

"Do you have sex with Cory?" Zora asked, pulling Alida's gaze away from the narrow hall.

Her eyes widened—her mouth falling open despite being mid-chew.

"That is totally inappropriate." Alida snapped as she wiped her mouth with the napkin by her plate. "No, I don't have sex with Cory." Alida stared daggers at Zora from across the table. Her question had triggered a fighting response.

She managed to swallow the food in her mouth, washing it down with a sip of Coke. "I haven't seen him in ten years." Alida stated, hoping she didn't have to elaborate. However, Zora's curious eyes waited for her to continue. "I don't do that with people I don't know—especially with people I haven't seen in ten years."

"What's he still doing here then?" Zora asked while chomping away at a large crinkle-cut fry.

"I don't know, to be honest with you."

"But you're Aidan's sister... if he was Uncle Aidan's friend, why is he here to see you? Were you and Cory friends too?"

"We used to be—but I don't know him anymore."

Alida relaxed upon seeing Cory coming down the narrow hall, returning back to the table. Zora's questions were making Alida uncomfortable.

"You remembered." Cory said as a smile sprouted across his lips.

He hadn't thought Alida would remember what he used to order, he was sure he wasn't going to eat much of it anyway.

His very own personal assistants had gotten his orders wrong from time to time, and because Cory never corrected them, it meant his order was always wrong. Cory was typically too drunk to care—drunk food tasted like gourmet food.

"How do you know Spinster?" Zora asked, looking to Cory while stuffing another French fry in her mouth.

Alida's eyes grew wide, begging Cory to omit the obvious. However, Cory wasn't paying attention to Alida, his full attention was on the little girl sitting next to him with familiar jade colored eyes.
