You grabbed the car keys upon seeing the time, and said, "Jen, I'm going to pick the kids up from school, wanna come with?"

Jenna slid off the couch and stretched, saying, "Hm...yeah sure. But I want a kiss first."

You smiled and walked over to her, pressing your lips to hers gently in a loving kiss.

"How come your mom never picks them up? At this point they're practically our kids." Jenna chuckled as she buckled in, when you'd unlocked the car.

Deciding it was time to tell her, you admitted, "My mother is...not in a good mindspace right now. She's bringing guys home, she's getting drunk, and overall just not being a good parent to the kiddos. I mean, I got out of there, but they're still stuck in that hellhole. Hence they practically live with us." You chuckled. "Plus, you love them."

Jenna sighed and rubbed your shoulder reassuringly, smiling, "I'm here for you, okay?"

You smiled and squeezed her knee, "I know. Thanks."

The two of you pulled up at the pre-primary school, where your two youngest siblings stood together.

"Y/n!" They squealed as you exited the car. Jenna followed, making them squeal louder, "Jenna!"

She laughed and kneeled as both of them tackled her in a hug.

"Elise, Marla, what about me?" You gasped. "I drove here!"

They hugged you, too, and said, "Are we going to your house today?"

"Yes, we are." You grinned. "Get in the back, and seatbelts better be on."

They piled in, and you drove to the high school nearby, to pick up your other two siblings.

Your brother, Max, was 15 and a complete troublemaker, so you were not surprised to see him with a black eye when he came in.

"Jenna!" He gasped, fixing his hair frantically. You rolled your eyes and said, "In the back, no flirting with my girlfriend, please."

Your 12 year old sister, Lila, came up behind him, a sour look on her face.

"Hey baby girl." You chuckled, as she squeezed in the back. "What's wrong?"

"No." She scowled.

"Hey, come on, don't be mean to your sister." Jenna said, looking at them from the rearview.

"Sorry Jenna..." Sighed Lila.

"No, I think you should say sorry to Y/n." She raised an eyebrow.

You sister rolled her eyes and mumbled, "Sorry, Y/n..."

You chuckled, "Aw, it's okay, sweetie. Let me know if you want to talk, okay?"

"Okay." Said the girl, looking outside the window while you all drove in silence.

At home, things went smoothly. You and Jenna helped out your siblings with their homework, and got them to do a few chores before letting them do what they wanted.

Jenna then volunteered to take youu all to Pizza Hut for dinner.

"I'm driving." She said, snatching the keys from you.

"Nah, the cops'll think you're a five year old." You grinned, taking the keys from her.

"You're one comment away from sleeping on the couch tonight, miss ma'am." Jenna scowled.
