Fuck!
Why does Skylar's forgiveness mean so much to me?
It has been a week, and she still refuses to speak to me despite my daily gesture of sending her white roses and an apology card, and even calling her several times to apologize. She is seriously a tough cookie. I thought space is what she needed and would've come around by now. It's unnerving to act out of character, yet not receive a favorable response.
What else can I do to prove I regret disrespecting her and how serious I am about her?
That kiss changed everything for me. I want her and only her, which is why I haven't been with anyone else for over a week, but it is unbearable not to be close to the woman who's bewitched me. I have waited long enough and need to see her, but first have to think of a way to make up. Thinking long and hard, I come up with an idea. It seems like Skylar, given her modesty, is the kind of woman who possibly loves the clichés commonly found in romance novels and movies. Which is why I'm going to try something corny and hope it will work.
If it doesn't, I probably have to ask my mom for help.
Oh, God, she's gonna have a field day if she hears about Skylar.
I quickly run an errand, and return within an hour. Swaggering past the Finances' reception, I don't miss the gawking eyes and Blondie's eye-fucking. This time, I head straight to Skylar's office, but when I arrive at it, her door is closed.
I hope you're here, baby.
I've missed you.
With my heart pounding, I knock softly to ensure not to upset her again. "Come inside," she responds sweetly and I take a deep breath before obliging.
Oh, I'd love to cum inside you.
Getting ahead of yourself now, Mr. Grayson.
Flutters erupt in my stomach and a smile grows on my face when I meet Skylar's big ocean blue eyes. "Hey, beautiful!" I suddenly halt, getting lost in those hypnotic orbs, and think I forgot to breathe for a moment.
You're so damn beautiful.
"What do you want, Mr. Grayson?" she sneers, drawing me from my crazy staring.
"Give me five minutes, please," I purr, closing the door behind me. Strolling closer to her desk, I notice her fidgeting with the pen on her desk as she tries to compose herself by taking slow breaths. Hmm... No use pretending you're not affected by me. "I brought you this," I say, placing two small gift boxes in front of her.
"You're trying to bribe me?" she blurts out. "The roses didn't work. Why would you think—"
"Skylar," I say assertively, and she instantly stops her rambling, then bites her bottom lip. Fuck, Skylar! Don't do that! "Open the top box."
Thankfully, she obeys without hesitation and reaches for the box. Here goes nothing. When she opens it, her head snaps up with a scowl plastered on her face. "Read the note."
She picks it up and cracks a smile as she reads aloud, "I'm sorry for acting like an idiot when I was HUNGRY." The smile is a good sign. Picking up the Snickers bar, she points it at me and shakes her head. "Poor excuse, Mr. Grayson. Your behavior was unacceptable."
"But I got you to smile. Don't that count for something?" I look at her all doe-eyed and bat my eyes, feigning innocence.
"Ha-ah! You're not off the hook," she responds with a slightly close-lipped smile.
