My name is Elaine Shadows, but most people call me Lanie. I'm 14 years old. I'm very involved in music. I play guitar and drums, and I hope to eventually learn bass. My favorite band is R5, who happen to be my best friends. I know, they're all adults, but we get along really well. Ross is my music buddy. We will sing at the top of our lungs just to annoy the rest of them. Rocky is what some would call my "rock" because he gives me support and always is there for me. Ellington is so original, so most of my weird/funny side is exposed with him. Ryland and I don't do very much together except play pranks on the others. Rydel keeps me sane with all these boys. And then there's Riker. I'm probably closest to him. We are practically twins. I may also have a crush on him. He's so much older than me, so I try to push away the feelings. That is not possible, especially, when you spend so much time with them. Stormie and Mark are like my parents. My real parents are out of town a lot, so I don't spend very much time with them. I call the Lynch's guest room home because I stay there so much.

Thankfully, it's summertime, [A/N: and you are all that's on my mind😏] so I don't have to worry about school. I make really good grades, but the kids are a different story. I don't have any friends at school. This girl named Emma at school has bullied me since fourth grade. I'm hoping it will be better next year since we will be in high school, but I thought that in middle school too. Enough about this! I have to go the Lynch's.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life got in the way. I decided to start this story, but I may eventually go back to the other one I was writing.

UPDATE 11/18/17: I've been getting several comments about how I named the bully Courtney. When I wrote this, I did not know about Ross and Courtney yet. This was out of pure coincidence. I decided to change the name to prevent further confusion. I never thought it would be a problem, but I don't want my comment section to turn into a Courtney hate group.
