“Thank you for the food”

“It’s the best nya!”

“Beacrox’s cooking is the best!”

It’s morning and the whole family is all eating breakfast together. Since the Cale is still cursed being Kim Rok Soo, the children had nobody to help them clean them, except for Eruhaben, who is now in charge of doing so. So there he is, cleaning the mess in their faces, including On and Rok Soo. Although is not much as the other children, Rok Soo was slowly learning to be independent. Beacrox has been teaching him simple easy cooking, cleaning, and task to stay healthy and clean ever since he first appeared. He was also learning how to read, and write with Rosalyn, other than that, he spends all day playing around with the children or just sitting next to the adults just watching them in silence.

“Come on Rok Soo! Let’s go play!”

“Nya!”

“Little human let's go!”

“O-oh okay”

As soon as they got off their seat, the children ran through the hallway giggling. The others remained in their seat.

“Base on what you said last night. . .”

“Ah yes, last night, Dongsaeng told me that I remained something from the past.”

“What was it?”

“The time he spent his time with his mother who had passed. A memory that saddens him for a sec, but. . .”

“It seems like you changed his perspective on that specific memory.”

Alberu nodded as the others listens closely. Ron, who had just finished stacking up the plates, smiles at the prince with his benign style but his eyes very cold.

“So the young master became an orphan after his parents had passed, causing him to live with his now abusive guardian?”

“Yes.”

“I, I didn’t expect Cale-nim to have this type of childhood. . .”

Rosalyn commented while Lock nodded looking down. They all understand now, the reason why Cale cares about them deeply, while he offers them the best, and live a peaceful life. The reason why he sacrifices so much for them. He doesn’t want them to suffer the same way he had. This Rok Soo is just a memory of Cale’s, one that he could not move on, the child inside of him that he tries so hard to hide.

“What we need to do is to help him face his uncle and learn to count on others for help.”

“Understandable but, how are we supposed to help him stand up to someone he’s terrified of?”

“Hm. . .”

“. . .”

.

“Um, Raon?”

“What’s up, little human!”

“Who’s Cale?”

“Nya?”

“Hm?”

“You, you guys always mention this Cale whenever I walk by. . .not just that but you called me by that name when we first met. May I ask who that is?”

All three children turn towards each other with a type of concerned expression. Not knowing how to explain to him that he’s that person. That he’s just a past memory of their father’s, that he’s the same person who sacrifices themselves so much, that he’s actually an adult? On smiles softly and turns towards the child before petting his head.
