I laid in bed and grew a little worried. There were many things going on in my mind and there were a few troublesome possibilities that I've been thinking.
Is it the cops? Are they here to arrest me?
Is it a pack of vampires waiting to ambush me before drinking me dry? Was this all a trap?
Did I make the right decision to trust Shoto? Or would that be my terrible mistake?
Years after living under a radar and now, I'm wanted for committing arson and murdering high class-leveled immortals along with many auctioned humans who were previously kidnapped and set up for prostitution.
God.. I made a fucking mess.
And it's all because that I decided to blindly trust one person and now I'm only afraid if I'm doing it again..
Even if it is like this.. it's still better than home. I'd rather do my job than go back.
"If I die, then I'll die my way." I said to myself.
I'm not gonna die from those blood-sucking leeches. If I'm lucky, hopefully I die somewhere peaceful.
I softly chuckled to myself at that thought. Knowing that it might not ever happen.
During all of that, a knock was heard from my door and I turned my head to it after hearing it the second time.
"Y/n? It's me, Shoto."
"..oh thank god." I softly muttered and felt relieved. I fixed myself and sat myself up before allowing him to come inside.
The door opens and he steps inside first before closing the door. He held a mild expression that made me wonder what had happened out there. He seemed rather bothered with something and it was obvious that he probably doesn't have good news for me.
"So what did your dad say?" I asked, already feeling not too surprised.
"..It was someone else, don't worry." Shoto spoke calmly, "I had to make sure that they wouldn't come up here and find you."
"Oh." I then asked, "Is that why I heard some shouting earlier?"
"That's for a different subject." He said, "But enough about me, are you feeling a little better?"
"I mean.. I guess so." I shrugged, "My feet doesn't hurt as much. So that's something."
He hums in response as he walks over to me and kneels down to unwrap my bandages, "Let's get these replaced with clean ones. It shouldn't be long since you haven't done any activities."
"Activities?" I then joked, "That's because you wouldn't let me walk at all."
A soft chuckle escapes from his lips. He then cleared his throat as he unwraps the bandages from my left foot and moved onto my right.
