"Well, to say I got turned down would be a pretty big understatement." I sighed as caught up to Parker. "Is this the fall of-- wait how does Aaliyah says it? Pussy slayer Emma? Is it the end of that era?" He asked a bit confused. I doubled over as I fell into a fit of laughter. "Tell-- tell me you di-- didn't just say t-- that." I tried to get out as I laughed loudly.

He rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed expression. "Why? Is that bad?" He asked as his cheeks reddened. I laughed even harder at that.

"Gosh Parker you're my favourite person." I admitted as I patted his shoulder in comfort. "And you're mine." He said with a sweet smile which made me stop giggling like a hyena.

We parted ways as I had math and he had physics. I honestly still couldn't shake this whole morning situation it was just so mind blowing. What were the chances of that ever happening to anyone?

I would never know but I guessed I was just that unlucky. Because not only did I get my first rejection but it had to be from someone I'd see almost everyday and to make it worse, she was my teacher. God Parker would never let me live this down.

I walked into my class and spotted Kalani at the back with a free desk next to her. I loved when she wore this outfit, which consisted of: a loose tie with a baggy blouse and a short skirt. It looked gorgeous on her.

"Hey!" I said with a huge grin as I made my way to her. "Em!" She squealed as she embraced me into a tight hug. "I missed you." She said as I buried my nose into her auburn hair, inhaling her fresh citrus scent.

"It's only been two days." I reminded her as I pulled back. "That eyeliner looks so good." I complimented as I took in her face. "Thank you babe, Mateo tried to help but his is just better." She replied as she kissed my cheek before we settled back in our seats.

"Talking about two days ago, you remember that cute ginger I was dancing with at the bar?" She asked as her gaze filled up with love. One thing about Kalani was that she fell in love so deeply and so quickly with everything and everyone, she had new obsessions every week.

The downside was that she also got bored super fast which was why her relationships never lasted and her hobbies never had time to develop. It meant that she was good at a lot of different things but she wasn't great at a specific one.

Everything she had was short lived but held so much passion.

"Yes? What about her?" I asked as I dropped my bag on the floor. "We exchanged numbers and she asked me out!" She squealed once more. "I have a date tomorrow!" She exclaimed happily. "I'm so happy for you Lani! That's amazing!" I replied with the same energy.

"I know right? I'm pretty excited. It's been a while since Alex and I'm finally moving on." She added with a bit of nostalgia. When she said a while she meant two weeks, it was honestly a record.

"They were a piece of shit, you deserve better." I told her as I remembered how sad she was when they ended things with her for someone else. "You're right. I do deserve better." She replied as she nodded.

I caressed her shoulder, not wanting her mood to be thrown off by their memory. "So... does this redhead have a name?" I asked as I wiggled my eyebrows which made her chuckle. "Anastasia and it's so cute when she speaks she has a thick Russian accent, I'm obsessed." She told me and honestly I could tell.

The class had already begun but when Kalani and I were next to each other there was no point in trying to focus. She knew about all the gossips in school and I was a sucker for tea, it was a terrible match for any teacher.

"I heard Chiara might have a new girl." She winced. Chiara. Chiara was my ex, she was my first everything and in the lesbian world that meant I'd never forget her.
