There was no better way to opening his eyes, than being covered in her hair, feeling her close to his body. Sebastian was wrapped in her smell, holding her close and listening to her heavy breaths. Alice needed the rest and she felt much more relaxed in his arms than comforting herself. Relaxed himself, he drifted away again.
Waking up again, she was gone. He collected his tired self, and went searching for her. She was sat in the couch in the living room, wrapped in a blanket, looking out the window with a cup of hot chocolate between her hands.
"It's snowing," she whispered, as if not to scare it away.
He kneeled down in front of her and rested his head on her thigh, looking at her rather than the winter wonderland.
"Stay, Alice."
She placed her cup on the table, and put her hand on his head, "Well, I have to get back to work at some time..."
He got up and sat next to her on the couch, holding her hand in both of his.
"No, what I mean is... move in with me, Alice."
She leaned back in the couch and away from him, but he held onto her hand and pulled her back into him.
"My job... I can't quit it again."
"You are a fantastic photographer, Alice... you will find another job. I'm sure you could find one by tomorrow if you wanted to," he held her hand up to his mouth and kissed it.
"Sebastian..."
"Alice... I don't ever want to be more apart from you than I have to," he pulled her close by her hand again, wrapping his arm around her, rustling and tickling her, "Listen, I'm not letting you go until you say yes!", laughing at her.
"Yes-yes! Okay!", she shouted through her giggles and shoved him off, "I'll move in with you!"
Sebastian had to leave for pre-season testing, while Alice stayed behind in the house on her own. He was telling Daniel their news, who offered himself up to help moving, when Alonso snuck up and snooped in on them.
"Sebastian, how is Alice doing?"
"She is stronger than she thinks she is," Sebastian said confidently.
"Is she?", questioned Alonso back.
Daniel's eyes were moving back and forth between them, as Sebastian narrowed his eyes at Alonso.
"Sometimes a person needs a crutch to lean on, to help them heal...", Alonso shrugged to Sebastian.
"And she's got three of them," Sebastian now the one looking back and forth between them.
"So what were you guys smiling about?", the curiosity finally got to Alonso.
Daniel looked approvingly at Sebastian, "They're finally doing it," giving him a nudge at the shoulder.
"Alice and I are moving in together."
Alonso lifted his eyebrows, "Ah, that's nice. When?"
"As soon as possible, just have to get done with testing. Daniel kindly offered his help," Sebastian smiled.
"We can do it next weekend, I'm free and can help as well," giving Sebastian and Daniel a look up and down, "You two look like you need a strong man around."
Daniel grinned, "Y'know, it might actually be kinda fun... doing it as a surprise for Alice. Ya' think you can steal away her apartment key, Seb?"
"I mean... I think so...", Sebastian was a little hesitant but, "Sure, why not."
"Road trip! Maybe I get to catch Alice again, too, check how she's holding up. Just message me the details and I will see you two boys soon...", Alonso shoved Sebastian by the shoulder and walked off.
Alice had slept all day and all night, when Sebastian in the morning snuck out of the bedroom. He wrote a he little note, that he had to take care of a few thing, and left it on the kitchen counter for her to find, in case she did leave the room. He stole her apartment keys, quietly sneaking out of the door.
Daniel had hired a moving truck and was waiting across the street, to not draw any attention or accidentally wake up Alice during their scheming. Sebastian opened the truck door, and saw Daniel had already picked up Alonso, so he would be sitting in the middle between them on the entire drive. Fun.
The first fight of the day was the topic of music.
"Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts their cakehole," Daniel joked while running through the radio stations.
"Then pull over and give me the wheel, because I brought this," Sebastian pulled a mixed CD out of his bag.
Alonso grabbed it out of Sebastian's hands and inspected it, "Is there anything else on that besides Beatles?"
"Why would we need anything other than The Beatles?", Sebastian put the CD in the player and started it on Let It Be.
"Seb, it's too early for that, we need a little more go or Imma fall asleep over here. Do you have some David Guetta?"
Sebastian leaned forward in his seat and looked judgmentally towards Daniel, "No, Daniel. I do not have David Guetta," frowning his brows.
"Okay boys, let me settle this. Luckily I brought a compromise," Alonso removed Sebastian's CD and put in his own, and Queen's Under Pressure started playing.
"Fine," agreed Sebastian and Daniel in unison.
