Medix's family

Parents: Blades and Bumblebee

Uncles: Ratchet (Blades's older brother), Optimus (because Ratchet and Optimus are married), and others

Aunts: I honestly don't know.

Close friend(s): Wedge and Hoist (Medix grew up with them)

Wedge's parents: Knockout and Breakdown (because Wedge was born a decepticon)

Hoist's parents: Blurr and Salvage (I'll explain later; basically, no one besides his biological family and Brushfire know that Hoist is their firstborn, and they've been keeping it a secret for a long time)

Hoist's siblings: Brushfire (adopted), Supernova (biological), and Silvercharge (biological)

So, the main reason Blurr left the rescue bots was because he was pregnant with Hoist. He thought that being pregnant would mess up the team, so he left. He temporarily joined the Bee Team when he was a few days pregnant and when Medix was a few months old. He gave birth to a healthy sparkling, thanks to Ratchet, and named him Hoist.

When Hoist was a few years old, Salvage had located and contacted Blurr, and was coming to meet him. Blurr had introduced Hoist to Salvage and had told him the whole story, and Salvage had forgiven Blurr. Hoist was left in Team Prime's care while Blurr and Salvage went to Cybertron and had some *ahem* fun. A day later, Blurr found out he was pregnant with the twins, and Salvage had said that he should come back to the rescue bots.

Fast forward a few years later, Hoist was now old enough to join Rescue Bots Academy and met new friends; Whirl and Hotshot; and old friends; Wedge and Medix. Sooner or later, they met Brushfire and she became part of the rescue family, and then was adopted by Blurr and Salvage when the twins were 4 years old. And they all lived happily ever after!
