"And look where it brought you. You're in London, avoiding them. Lee, I know you mean well, but you can't avoid family forever."

"I can with them."

"But will that solve anything?"

I sighed, feeling empty, then looked away, answering, "No."

"Okay then."

Michael took his other free hand to cup my cheek to make me face him, and his eyes were looking right at mine.

"You don't have to face them alone. You have me now. I know they're gonna judge me till I'm dead and want me gone, but I'm not gonna let that happen, Lee. You're my best friend and I love you so I'm not going to let them take you away from me. I'll do whatever it takes, even if it's crazy, okay?"

Then he kissed my forehead and pulled me into a tight hug with both of his arms, wrapping them around my body. That's when he made me smile. Whenever Michael is with me, and assures me like this, that's when I feel safe.

When we let go, Michael took my hand and guided me back to go to the others.

"So," Mia walked to me, "Your family is here?"

I nodded, "Yeah, they are."

"Are you okay?"

That's when Michael squeezed my hand before I could answer. Mia knows I'm not, and Michael knows that too, but the fact that they're here, by my side right now made me feel better about this whole thing.

"You know, at first I thought that I was gonna freak out about all this," I smiled at Mia, "but surprisingly, I'm okay about this."

Mia smiled back at me and put her arm around my shoulder, brining me closer to her, "That's good. I'm glad that you're okay. Now I know why you would freak out about your mom. She gave such a cold and intimidating vibe when I saw her."

"That's my mother."

"And your sister knows how to push your buttons."

"Oh you have no idea. That was just her holding back."

"Yikes." I felt Mia squirm a little. Knowing Mia, she would hate to be around Mia. Okay, not hate cause Mia doesn't hate. She would strongly dislike it is how she would put it. Mia is a bottle of sunshine rays and rainbows so the fact that a gray cloud would be close to her bottle, she would avoid it as much as possible.

"Yeah, it's bad but hey," I patted her back, "She won't phase me because I have a bottle of sunshine right next to me."

"Oh ha-ha," Mia pinched my cheek, "Funny."

Then later, Lani finally texted us about Natalie's arrival, and we were getting for the second surprise.

Throughout the night, I actually forgotten about my family being in London for a while. Ro was so happy with the cake, desserts, and the fact that she celebrated with not just her friends but also with her family. In a way, seeing her happy made me feel joy also when seeing everyone laughing and having a good time. I was actually surrounded by people who had good vibes, and made me feel better about myself.

You could say that it was a good night.

Short chapter, but better than nothing, right?

Haha, just letting you guys know, I'm graduating high school soon so that's why I've been lacking on updates. Plus, I've been busy with other stuff but now that things settled down, I have more time to type, I just gotta get my thoughts together, so I hope you guys understand~

* long rant *

Thank you for you comments & such, but listen up, I do read your comments, and I see every single one of them, and don't think that I'm not gonna offended by any of them. You have no idea how much I wanted to sass some of the comments but since I'm a nice-a-lot, I decided that it's not worth it, but I swear, if I get another comment about how I spelled, "of course" and should put "has" instead of "haves", hell will break loose (jk, but seriously, it's mf annoying). I get there's constructive criticism but if someone already commented on my poor grammar, THEN JUST LET IT GO AND NOT ADD IT UP cause I GET IT. I SUCK AT GRAMMAR BUT GUESS WHAT. THIS IS A FANFIC. NOT A GODDAMN ESSAY. Sorry if I sound rude, but the amount of comments I get from people being all sassy and shiz gets on my nerves. Lol okay, done ranting.

But hey, I love you guys still, and I hail those who still read my stories and deals with my poor grammar. Y'all are the real MVPs. Just kidding. Oh god, I can't believe I just said that, but anyways, love you guys!

( like the new covers? hehehehe, cause i do ^^ )
