Incoherent shouting rang through the house. Ouma groaned, barely able to understand what was happening as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He rolled out of Saihara's bed and stared at the door. Maybe he should investigate in case Saihara needed his help... Silently sneaking from the bedroom, he reached the source of the shouting. Peeking around the corner, Ouma watched as Saihara and Enomoto continued arguing.
"You can't keep him here!" Enomoto screamed.
"Why not?!" Ouma frowned when he realised he was the argument's topic. Did he do something wrong? Enomoto snatched a plastic bag from Saihara's grip. "Give that back!" The bluenette shouted as he tried to reach for it. "It's for Ouma, you fucking bitch!"
"Why do you care about him so much!? You know what he's been through!" Ouma stared at his feet as tears began to blur his vision. He was a burden, no one truly wanted him.
"I'm going to help him!"
"By controlling him?!"
"By loving him!" Ouma's eyes widened. He didn't know much about love. The orphanage caretakers sometimes teased kids about liking each other romantically, but that was all he had been exposed to considering he lived there since he turned one. Love was between a boy and a girl though, so maybe Saihara meant something different.
"Ouma's pathetic and weak," Enomoto spat. "He needs to go to the police, not stay here!" The man let a tear drip to the floor. He knew the older man was right...
"There's no fucking way in Hell that I'll let Ouma go to them!" Saihara shouted. The small man frowned. Police helped those in need, right? Why didn't Saihara want him to get help? It had to be because he knew something that Ouma didn't, he wouldn't hurt the orphan! "Yeah, he's weak as shit and probably won't make friends but-"
"I don't fucking want him here!" Ouma let himself cry. The only time he felt wanted in his life was to be an experiment. Was it so much to ask for someone to like him? At least he had Harukawa again...
The argument suddenly stopped and Ouma froze when he realised that he sniffed loudly. Glancing up, he noticed Enomoto and Saihara staring at him. Saihara stepped forward. "Ouma..."
Ouma wiped his tears and rushed back into Saihara's bedroom, shutting himself in the attached bathroom and locking the door. He dropped to the floor and rested against the cupboard, tears streaking down his face. More shouting filled the house before a door slammed. A faint knocking sounded through the bathroom but Ouma didn't try to move.
"Hey, Ouma?" He refused to respond. Saihara didn't believe in him. "It's not what you think," the bluenette whispered through the door. Ouma wanted to trust him, especially considering he was his saviour, but Saihara said those things whilst believing the smaller man couldn't hear... After a sigh, Ouma heard shuffling. "I'm leaving some clothes here. I don't have time for your games, I need to get to school. You better be there. Have fun figuring things out on your own." A door shut more gently than earlier.
The small man sighed and wiped his tears again. Maybe he should turn up to school. If he stayed here, Enomoto might call the police and (according to Saihara) they were bad... Harukawa could help him figure things out, so he needed to go to school anyway. Saihara didn't want him around apparently, so Ouma could respect his wishes and find someone else to help him. Besides, it wasn't like Harukawa ever did him wrong back in the orphanage.
Slipping from the bathroom, Ouma kicked a soft object and gasped in shock. It was the same one that Enomoto snatched from Saihara... Peeking inside, Ouma noticed new clothes as well as a uniform that matched his with a black and white checkered scarf instead of a tie. Thank God because Ouma wouldn't be able to tie one for the life of him. It'd also hide the needle scars well...
