"How did you get here? I mean don't get me wrong I'm happy you're here but-" Jace says stumbling over his words. "Jace." I say as I put my hand on his chest, shutting him up instantly. "That's not important right now. What is important is stopping the Greens." I say and he nods and leans his forehead against mine.

I look up as I hear Valathore and Vermax roar. I see them looking towards the castle and I break away from Jace. A few seconds after I hear footsteps running towards Jace and I. I look over to see Luke with tears in his eyes. "Mother-" He chokes out with a sob. My eyes widen and I take off in a sprint towards the castle. I hear Jace calling out my name but I ignore him.

I run into the castle and down the long stone hallways. I come to my mother's chambers and slow to a walk. I walk down the stairs into her room and I see her sitting on the floor rocking back and forth. I walk towards her to see blood everywhere and her cradling something. I gasp quietly seeing what she is holding. She turns to look at me and a sob escapes my lips.

I quickly turn around and run out of my mother's chambers. I run past Jace and Luke and enter my chambers. I pace back and forth as tears stream down my cheeks. I hear my door open but I don't bother looking to see who entered. "Rhae." Jace says as he walks towards me. He wraps me into a hug and I cry into his shoulder. Jace runs his fingers through my hair to comfort me as I continue to sob.

After several minutes I calm down and my sadness turns into rage. "She was my only sister and they murdered her. They stole our mother's crown and murdered our sister, and they shall answer for it." I say angrily as tears stream down my cheeks. "Rhae-" Jace begins but I cut him off by breaking away from him and exiting my chambers.

I walk into the hall with the war table and I find Daemon. "Come here to meddle in more business that does not concern you, Princess?" Daemon asks. "I want them to pay for what they did." I say angrily and Daemon looks up at me. He gives me a questioning look and Jace comes into the room. "Very well Princess." Daemon says with a nod.

"Shouldn't you be with our mother?" Jace asks Daemon. "She wanted to be alone." Daemon says and looks down. "We start planning after the-" Daemon says but he cuts himself off not wanting to say funeral and I nod in understanding. I turn around and leave the hall and start to make my way back to my chambers.

I stop and spin around as someone grabs my hand. "Rhae I know you're angry but-" Jace begins before I cut him off. "I'm not angry I'm furious. This would not have happened if Mother wasn't under so much stress and grief." I say with a shake of my head. "I know but you need to calm down my love." Jace says and I sigh knowing he is right. "You're not alone. I'm angry too. We all are." He says as he puts his hands on my waist and leans his forehead against mine. "I'm sorry. You're right." I say with a nod. "I love you and we will figure this out together." He says with a small smile.

I hear footsteps coming towards us and we quickly break away from each other. I see my mother walking towards us with a bundle in her arms and I look away. "Go outside to the funeral pyre and wait there for Daemon and I." She says and Jace and I nod. We make our way outside and I sigh seeing all of the different groups of people. Jace and I make our way over to Joffrey and Luke. I put my arm around Luke's shoulders and rest my hand on Joffrey's shoulder. Jace rests his hand on top of mine and I look over seeing my mother and Daemon walking up to the funeral pyre.

I watch as my mother sits down the bundle and picks up a torch. She sets the bundle on fire and then steps back. I look down as a tear runs down my cheek. I look up as Jace wipes away my tear. I look over as I see a familiar knight walk up the hill to the pyre. Two knights step forward and draw their swords ready to attack if necessary. "I mean no harm brothers." Ser Erryk says and removes his helmet. The two knights sheath their swords as Daemon walks forward. Ser Erryk kneels in front of Daemon and my mother turns around. He opens his satchel to reveal my grandfather's golden crown.
