I sigh in relief as everyone is dismissed from the throne room. I leave and start the walk back to my chambers. I turn around as someone grabs my arm. I spin around expecting Jace but I come face to face with Aegon. "Quite the entrance you made back there." He says with a smirk. "What can I say? I'm good at making entrances." I say with a shrug. "That you are. I remember when you first came here on Valathore. The second largest dragon in the world landing in the Dragonpit with such a small, frail girl riding it. It was truly incredible." He says with a cocky laugh. "Yes, Valathore and I oftentimes have that effect on people." I say trying to hurry this conversation along. "Yes, that is very true." Aegon says as he moves closer to me.

"Is there something you wanted to discuss?" I ask calmly as I back away from him. "Oh, we don't have to discuss anything at all." He says as my back hits the stone wall. "Then I should be going." I say as I start to move around him. Before I can get around Aegon he places his hands on either side of the wall beside my face. "Aegon." I warn lowly. "Oh don't be such a bore princess." He says as he leans towards me. I turn my head to the side to look for an escape. Before Aegon kisses me someone pulls him away from me. I look up to see my brother glaring at Aegon. "I suggest you leave." Jace warns lowly. "And why would I do that?" Aegon asks as he looks over at me. "Because if you don't I'll kill you." Jace says as he shoves Aegon away from him. Aegon looks between Jace and I and walks away.

"Thank you." I say to Jace after Aegon is out of sight. "Of course." He says with a nod. "Are you alright?" He asks after a few seconds of silence. "Yes, nothing Aegon hasn't tried before. But he is getting bolder." I say with a sigh. "Well, he won't be doing anything while I'm here." Jace says and I smile. "I hope not, for his sake." I say and Jace chuckles. "Can we talk later?" Jace asks in a hopeful tone. "Sure, meet me in my chambers." I say and Jace smiles and nods. I turn and walk back to my chambers with a smile on my face.

I enter my chambers to find Alicent sitting on my bed. "My Queen, what a pleasant surprise." I say surprised and confused. "There is no need for niceties Rhaella." Alicent says in a monotone voice. "Is there something you wanted to discuss my Queen?" I ask still very confused. "Yes, your interference in court earlier today was uncalled for." She says as she stands up and walks towards me. "My apologies your Grace, I was only trying to defend my brother and his rightful claim to Driftmark." I say confidently. "Yes well as a woman you have no business doing that." She says as she glares at me. "Yes, you're right. I promise it won't happen again, my Queen." I say to her with a slight bow. "Please make sure it doesn't." She says as she puts her hand on my face. "For such a beauty you can cause so many problems." Alicent says with a frown. She lets go of my face and exits my chambers.

I bow my head and sigh taking in Alicent's words. I hear a knock on my door and I lift my head. "Enter." I say shakily. "Rhae?" I hear Jace say and I turn around to look at him. "Jace." I say with a smile. "Why was the Queen here?" He asks. "She was scolding me for what happened in the throne room." I say with a sigh. "I thought it was brilliant." He says and I smile. "You're probably the only one." I say with a chuckle. "I'm sure Luke appreciated it too." He says and I nod.

"What did you want to talk about?" I ask him. "Oh um, that can wait." He says nervously. "Jace-" I begin before he cuts me off. "It is not important." He says and I nod. I hear a knock on my door and I quietly sigh. "Enter." I say and the door opens. "Princess Rhaella, Prince Jacaerys." Anastasia says with a bow. "Anastasia." I say with a nod. "The King has requested that both of you attend dinner tonight in the dining chambers." Anastasia says and I nod. "Thank you, Anastasia." I say with a smile. She nods and exits my chambers.

"Well, this should be wonderful." I say sarcastically. "Indeed it shall be." Jace says matching my sarcasm. "Well, I guess we should get ready." I say and Jace nods. "I'll see you at dinner." I say to Jace with a smile. "See you there." Jace says and then exits my chambers.
