The sound of banging on the door had David abandoning the kitchen as he moved to answer it. It wasn't too hard to guess who stood on the other end, so the frantic sounds of a fist hitting the wood didn't unsettle him too much. Especially not once he was proven correct in his suspicions once he spotted the familiar blonde standing on the other side.

"Oh, you're here. Thank God." Odette breathed out in relief, throwing her arms around her friend, and pulling him into a tight hug. But it didn't last too long before she pulled away and started making her way inside. "Where's Snow? Is she here too? Do you have any idea what's going on? I thought we were supposed to go back? Did we go back? How long-"

"Odette. Odette." David quickly interrupted her before the rambling could spiral any further. Placing his hands on her shoulders he forced her to stop moving and talking all at the same time. "Snow's here. We're all alright. You need to breathe."

"You're right, you're right." Odette took in a small breath, trying to organise her scrambled thoughts. And she did somewhat succeed. At least enough to get out one question at a time. "What's the last thing you remember?"

"Emma driving past the line and then smoke." David revealed, making Odette nod her head quickly.

"Me too. And that was afternoon, almost sundown. But I woke up at dawn." Odette started to list off the things she did know, or at least suspected. "At first I thought it was twelve missing hours. But now I think it's been more."

"It's been more." David finished the sentence at the same time as she did, his brows furrowing in surprise as he realized she'd already come to the same conclusion as he had Snow had. "What makes you think it's been more?"

"This." Odette said, pulling down the sleeve of her sweater to show off the part of the scar colouring her shoulder. "It's perfectly fine; healed and all. But I never had it before. And it would take time to get it, for it to heal, for it to just be a scar. I don't know how much exactly, but certainly not twelve hours."

"You're right." David said, not seeming as surprised as Odette would have expected him to when he stepped away from her and walked to stand behind the kitchen counter. He pulled out another cup, beginning to prepare some coffee knowing how eager she'd be to get her morning fix.

"What made you think it's been more than a day?" Odette asked curiously as she leaned on the counter, fixing him with a questioning look. During her walk through the town, she'd seen many people who'd resided in it before, and even some new ones, but she hadn't heard anything about the prince and princess yet venturing out of their own apartment.

"That's, uh... A bit..." David stumbled around his words, but he never got to finish a proper response before the door to the bathroom opened and another person joined them.

"The constant need to go to the bathroom is something I haven't missed." Snow grumbled out, back turned to them and unaware it was no longer just David in the kitchen as she closed the bathroom door behind her and only then turned to spot Odette in the apartment as well.
