anastasia's pov

It's winter now.

I mean, the beginning of it.

When you go out in the street, light snow flakes fall onto your skin.

I hate winter.

It's maybe because it's cold all the time. And God knows I'm always cold.

Or maybe it's become all the worst times of my life were in cold places.

Either ways, I still have to admit that it's pretty.

It always is.

Even when everything in your life goes wrong.

Like right now for me.

No. That's not fully true.

There's always one thing that stays. One person.

I feel like a high school girl with a crush every time I think about him.

That's probably a problem.

But who cares.

"Anastasia? Are you listening?"

Ah yes. She cares.

"Yes yes." I whisper, nodding my head as if I heard what she said in the last ten minutes.

She nods her head suspiciously. Of course, she knows.

"I'd like to give you a little assignment." I nod my head, once again.

I'm used to it now.

I nod and wait for her to continue.

It's usually nothing big.

Like write a poem, or scrapbooking, or bring something important for me.

I brought my cat that day. It was lots of fun.

"I'd like you to spend a day without Luke."

What's that now?

She must notice my surprised attitude. because she smiles.
