CHAPTER 14

"No, this has gone long enough, something has to be done. He thinks he can just do what he wants and not meet the consequences of his action. Oh, he has messed with the wrong deity, I will not spare him. Ahhh, I can't wait to get my hands on him. He will not escape my wrath this time." Nemesis paces back and forth in front of the throne room muttering to herself.

She is getting more and more aggravated with the whole situation. Nothing is going according to plan; everything is in disarray. Her plans are going to waste before her eyes. He hurt her to the core, nothing has ever pained her more than what he did. And now, they say he must be free. He hasn't suffered as she did. He hasn't known what pain is, like her but she is about to change that. Nemesis will make sure he breaks him until there is nothing left for him to live for and when such time comes, she will be the one who laughs last.

The doors of the throne room open disturbing her running thoughts. A guard comes out strolling towards Nemesis stratums of silver armor making clicking sounds with every thunderous step he takes. It is shimmering as the little rays of sunlight shine through the windows reflecting on the armor.

He comes to halt in front of Nemesis with a rigid stand, "The king will see you now'' his raspy voice echoes through the hallway.

"Finally, insanity was creeping into me every minute I waited out here" the guard just huffs when she screeches walking inside with powerful strides.

Zeus is relaxed on the throne watching Nemesis strides in harshly. "What can I do for you Nemesis?" he asks lacking enthusiasm. His attitude shows he is not fond of this meeting but has no choice but to attend to his subjects.

"I heard that Ares is now residing in the realm of the humans which is unacceptable. He is forbidden to ever go there. He should have been left in the darkness to rot there, where he belongs." Her jaws tighten as she seethes venomously.

Zeus sighs massaging his temple " here we go again'' he mutters under his breath, ''I granted him the freedom to do as he wishes."

"What! Why would you do such a thing?"

"Because Selene is in danger, it is the only way to protect her, and you know that. This realm needs her. Stop this childish act of yours.'' He raises his voice annoyed.
